The Great One Piece

This theory is compilation of the theories i posted here lately, some recent realisations and new thought..

Phase I: The Genesis (The First World)

In the primordial era, Devil Fruits did not exist. The world was governed by pure imagination, manifested through Seven Primordial Gods

Sun

Forest

Earth

Rain

War

Sea

Demon/Death God

The Mother Flame & The Betrayal: The Seven Gods pooled their essence to create the Mother Flame as an infinite energy source for peace. The Demon God, consumed by greed, attempted to steal it, manipulating a faction of the gods into a apocalyptic civil war.

The Origin of the Curse: The clash between the Sea God and the Rain God triggered a cataclysmic Great Flood that submerged the First World. As a parting spiritual curse, the Sea itself became hostile to divine manipulation. When the Seven Gods died, their souls lingered within their remains waiting to be reborn while any living being carrying their spiritual frequency lost the ability to swim.

Phase II: The Moon Race & The Second World

As the floodwaters settled, the Second World began. It was a barren, oceanic wasteland ruled by the legendary pirate Davy D. Jones, keeper of the remaining Mother Flame.

The Lunar Alliance: The Lunarians, possessing advanced technology but lacking an energy source, descended to Earth. Among them were two ideological leaders - Joyboy and Imu.

The Rebuilding & The Possession: Joyboy brokered a deal with Davy Jones to use Lunar technology to pull landmasses from the ocean floor, creating the New World geography we see today. However, Davy Jones demanded that Imu and his followers vacate the newly formed Red Line a massive, mechanical/biological Ouroboros Serpent built to stabilize the world. Feeling deeply humiliated and jealous of Joyboy, Imu's vulnerable mind was possessed by the lingering spirit of the Demon God.

The Birth of Devil Fruits: Imu manipulated the 20 Kings, using a dark, demonic spiritual intent called Maki to counter the divine willpower known as Haki. Joyboy was betrayed and defeated. Upon his fall, the lingering souls of the First World's Gods manifested physically into the world for the first time, transforming into the Original Devil Fruits.

Phase III: The Legacy of Davy & The Hunting Games

To survive the newly established World Government and the wrath of the possessed Imu, the descendants of Davy D. Jones scattered across the globe. To hide their lineage, they dropped their surname, carrying only the middle name D as a secret sigil representing the Shape of the Half Moon the genetic union of the Moon Race and the Earth Race.

Over centuries, these survivors established hidden, culturally isolated civilizations:

God Valley - A sanctuary built by one branch of the D. Clan.

The Esperia Kingdom - A hidden, deeply spiritual society deeply connected to the magic of music and soul resonance, where Brook served as the leader of the Royal Guard.

Imu's Cycle of Erasure

Imu and the Five Elders operate on a cyclic "Hunting Game" to find and erase pockets of the Davy bloodline. For centuries, the World Government did not realize God Valley and Esperia were tied to the ancient Davy Clan. The moment their true histories were uncovered, both nations were marked for absolute erasure:

God Valley was wiped off the map during the Celestial Dragons' tournament.

The Esperia Kingdom suffered the exact same fate. Its history was completely deleted from the world archives.

Phase IV: Brook, Rocks, and Princess Gunko/Shuri

The Guardian and the Princess

Before joining the Rumbar Pirates, Brook was the loyal protector of the Esperia Royal Family. When the World Government attacked, the King and Queen were assassinated. Brook was forced to leave the young Princess Gunko behind either as a decoy to draw the Marines away or believing she had escaped safely.

Instead, Gunko was captured and kept under the strict, decades-long custody of the World Government. This directly mirrors the emotional narrative of One Piece Film Redwhere Brook and Gunko share a profound, musical soul-bond exactly like Shanks and Uta.

The Rocks D. Xebec Connection

Brook is currently around 90 years old, meaning he was a grown adult and high-ranking military commander decades before the God Valley Incident (38 years ago). Theorists have noted that Brook’s skull features a prominent, vertical fracture above his left eye socket a detail that perfectly matches the jagged, silhouetted hair and facial scar lines associated with Rocks D. Xebec.

This presents two possibilities:

Rocks was Brook’s younger brother, who witnessed the destruction of Esperia and turned to absolute villainy.

Rocks was Brook’s estranged son, who abandoned the falling kingdom to wage a vengeful war against the Celestial Dragons at God Valley.

This creates a masterful thematic contrast. Rocks chose violence, tyranny, and destruction to avenge the Davy Clan, while Brook, despite losing absolutely everything, chose music, camaraderie, and hope to guide his soul through the darkness.

Phase V: The Heart, The Prophecy, and the Finale

Imu’s Weakness: The Ope Ope no Mi and the Heart Theory

The mystery of Imu’s health, specifically the coughing of blood points to a flaw in their immortality.

The Eternal Room

A previous user of the Ope Ope no Mi performed a ritual on Imu during the Void Century. However, instead of "Immortality," they might have performed a Perpetual "Room" that keeps Imu in a state of suspended de-aging. This explains the 5-billion-berry bounty on the fruit; it is the only thing that can maintain or "undo" Imu’s existence.

The Giant Straw Hat and the Stolen Heart

The Secret: Imu’s physical heart was removed using the Mes technique and is kept inside the Giant Straw Hat in the cold basement of Pangaea Castle.

The Consequence: Because their heart is external, Imu is physically weak and "leaks" life force (coughing blood).

The Endgame: The Five Elders and the Holy Knights are likely tetheredto Imu’s life force. If the heart inside the frozen vault is destroyed, the entire power structure of the World Government collapses instantly. I think Law most likely sacrifice himself.

The Dual Paths of Madame Shyarly’s Prophecy

The Red Line is not just a geological formation; it is a living/mechanical serpent (The Ouroboros) created during the First World Wars to divide the seas. Imu currently controls this serpent, using it to maintain the world’s Cage.

Two Paths to the Destruction of Fishman Island:

The Heroic Path: Luffy destroys the Red Line (The Serpent) to create the All Blue. Since Fishman Island is directly beneath the Red Line, it is collateral damage. The Fishmen then migrate to the surface using the Noah, fulfilling Joyboy's old promise.

The Deceptive Path: Catarina Devon, having touched Saturn (and potentially Luffy in the future), transforms into Luffy and attacks Fishman Island to frame him, sparking a final war between the Straw Hats and the world.

The Final Song and Luffy's True Dream

Luffy’s secret dream has always been to throw a grand, unified banquet where everyone across all four seas can eat and drink together as equals.

At Laugh Tale, the One Piece awaits a massive, ancient bottle of sake left behind by Joyboy, alongside the records of the First World. Roger and his crew laughed because the ultimate weapon to liberate the world was something as joyful and simple as party supplies.

In the final confrontation, Brook will face the ghosts of his past. By using the peak awakening of his Soul to Soul powers and his music, Brook will break the World Government's conditioning on Princess Gunko, singing a final, beautiful requiem that puts the tragic, 800 year old history of the Davy Clan to rest, clearing the way for Luffy's global party.

This is a massive one piece theory that I created using ideas of mine and my best friend. This theory is the conclusion of a big discussion we had for about 2 months. This is all created by our imaginations. After reading this, drop your opinions...

The First World and Devil Fruits

In the beginning, the world was a boundless canvas, unburdened by the laws of nature. There were no Devil Fruits, for there was no need to trap miracles inside mere skin. Instead, reality was shaped by pure imagination, a primordial era where the desires, fears, and dreams of living beings manifested instantly into the physical world.

But where there is infinite imagination, there is inevitable collision.

The War of the Primordials

Two supreme manifestations of this raw willpower rose above all others: The Sea God, representing the absolute, crushing weight of the deep, and The Rain God, representing the chaotic, ever-changing freedom of the sky.

Their ideologies clashed, and with them, the world fractured. The Rain God summoned endless, weeping skies to drown the earth in absolute freedom, while the Sea God rose in fury to swallow the land and claim dominion over all creation. This catastrophic clash of wills triggered the Great Flood, a cataclysmic deluge that completely submerged the "First World," burying its grand civilizations beneath thousands of leagues of dark water.

(Just as ancient myths tell of grand civilizations buried beneath the waves, the One Piece world features sunken continents, ancient weapons named after primordial gods (Pluton, Poseidon, Uranus), and a global ocean that isolates humanity onto fragmented islands. - My thought)

The Final Curse & The Hostile Sea

As the First World gasped its last breath, the Sea God claimed a bitter victory. To ensure that no being of imagination could ever challenge the ocean's supremacy again, the Sea laid a final, metaphysical curse upon the waters.

The ocean itself became sentiently hostile to anyone who wielded the primordial power of imagination. From that moment on, the sea would instantly reject them, draining their physical strength, paralyzing their limbs, and stripping them of their ability to swim. The water became a prison, turning the very cradle of life into an executioner.

The Birth of the Fruits: Lingering Souls

The users of imagination were drowned or hunted down, but true willpower cannot be completely destroyed.

Upon their deaths, the vibrant, reality warping souls of these ancient beings did not vanish into the afterlife. Instead, they clung desperately to the mortal plane, seeking refuge within the only things left behind: their physical remains. Over millennia, as flesh turned to dust and bones merged with the earth, these lingering souls seeped into the roots of the world's flora.

They mutated ordinary vegetation, trapping the ancient powers of imagination inside uniquely patterned, swirling skins. (Maybe a tree or something involved in the process)

Madam Shyarly Prophecy

The Serpent of the Red Line and Shyarly’s Prophecy

The Red Line is not just a geological formation; it is a living/mechanical serpent (The Ouroboros) created during the First World Wars to divide the seas. Imu currently controls this serpent, using it to maintain the world’s Cage.

Two Paths to the Destruction of Fishman Island:

Madame Shyarly’s prophecy about Luffy destroying Fishman Island could happen in two ways:

The Heroic Path: Luffy destroys the Red Line (The Serpent) to create the "All Blue." Since Fishman Island is directly beneath the Red Line, it is collateral damage.

Imu and Joyboy

I think it's pretty clear that Joyboy's real name is something else. I think they were both lunarians from the moon kingdom (Joyboy and Imu). I think Skypieans, Lunarians, Minks, and some other races are actually from the moon kingdom. I think after some ideological clash Imu and Lunarians who support him/her must have left the moon kingdom and started a kingdom in Redline. Joyboy and Imu must have been childhood friends. And Shanks' lineage thing was a wide guess. Roger had a spirit of Joyboy. I think WG must have won to hide the history completely. Roger's birth must have carried the will to others. I think the OG D clan members are half Earth-Moon blood, and some others like Lilly and the crew members of Joyboy from Earth must have taken the "D" to their names..

How Strawhats Will Succeed What Joyboy's Crew Couldn't

For years, the One Piece fandom has debated the concept of reincarnation versus "Inherited Will." Following the mind-blowing revelations in upcoming Chapter- where Zaza recognizes Sanji not just as a Germa prince, but as a legendary figure from the Void Century-the scale has tipped. It is now highly plausible that the Straw Hat Pirates aren't just carrying on a legacy; they are the spiritual reincarnations of Joyboy’s original crew, carrying the exact same souls from 800 years ago.

But this isn't just a simple story of destiny repeating itself. If the Straw Hats are a mirror image of Joyboy’s crew, it raises a massive question: Why did Joyboy lose to Imu and the Twenty Kingdoms during the Void Century? The answer lies in the ultimate theme of One Piece: Absolute Freedom.

In the One Piece universe, true strength is directly tied to a person's freedom and willpower. Joyboy was the Warrior of Liberation, but his crew ultimately failed to liberate the world. Why? Because while they fought for the freedom of others, they themselves were not truly free.

Fast forward 800 years. The same souls have returned, but this time, Monkey D. Luffy is doing something Joyboy never did: he is systematically breaking the personal chains of his crewmates before they ever face the Final War.

This is where the theory becomes truly beautiful and philosophical.

The tragedy of the Void Century was that Joyboy’s crew fought for a free world while carrying the burdens of an unfree life. The Straw Hat Pirates are the correction of that historical error.

When the Final War arrives, the World Government won't just be fighting a powerful pirate crew. They will be fighting individuals who have completely conquered their own trauma, rejected their royal or cursed lineages, and shattered every chain holding them back.

The Straw Hats will succeed where Joyboy failed because they aren't fighting out of a tragic duty to the past—they are fighting as the living embodiment of absolute, unchained freedom.

The Chains of Fate: Why the Straw Hats Will Succeed Where Joyboy’s Crew Failed

How the Straw Hats accomplished what people in the past could not

The Chains of Fate: Why the Straw Hats Will Succeed Where Joyboy’s Crew Failed

Introduction: The Soul of the Past

For years, the One Piece fandom has debated the

concept of reincarnation versus "Inherited Will." Following the mind-blowing revelations in Chapter 1183-where Zaza recognizes Sanji not just as a Germa prince, but as a legendary figure from the Void Century, the scale has tipped.

The Flaw of the Past: Joyboy’s Shackled Crew

In the One Piece universe, true strength is directly tied to a person's freedom and willpower. Joyboy was the Warrior of Liberation, but his crew ultimately failed to liberate the world. Why? Because while they fought for the freedom of others, they themselves were not truly free.

Eight hundred years ago, Joyboy’s crewmates were bound by the heavy chains of responsibility, royal bloodlines, and tragic duties:

The ancient counterpart of Sanji was shackled by his duties as a Prince.

The ancient Nefertari Lily was bound by her crown in Alabasta.

The previous Poseidon was trapped by the burden of the Sea Kings and the isolation of Fishman Island.

Emeth, the Iron Giant, was bound by a literal programming of guilt and a singular apology to Joyboy.

They were a crew of heroes, but they were bogged down by the weight of the world. Because they were mentally and systemically shackled, they could not unlock the peak of their power. They fought a war of obligation, and against Imu’s absolute control, obligation wasn't enough. They fell, leaving behind the Poneglyphs as a massive apology note for a future generation.

The Straw Hat Difference: Breaking the Chains

Fast forward 800 years. The same souls have returned, but this time, Monkey D. Luffy is doing something Joyboy never did: he is systematically breaking the personal chains of his crewmates before they ever face the Final War.

Look at how Luffy has handled his crew's pasts:

Sanji was trapped by the toxic legacy and genetic destiny of the Vinsmoke family. Luffy went to Whole Cake Island, defied a Yonko, and forced Sanji to reject his royal shackles to become a simple, free cook.

Nami was enslaved by her duty to Cocoyasi Village. Luffy destroyed Arlong Park to give her the freedom to draw the map of the world.

Robin was crushed by the burden of Ohara and the weight of the world's forbidden history. At Enies Lobby, Luffy literally declared war on the World Government just to make her admit she wanted to live.

Zoro is not bound by a tragic past, but by a supreme, unyielding dream to become the strongest, unbothered by anyone else's authority.

Luffy does not want to rule, and he does not want followers who act out of blind obligation. He famously said he wants to be the Pirate King because the Pirate King is the person with the most freedom on the ocean. By extension, he demands that his crew be entirely free.

The Philosophical Conclusion: Freedom Over Destiny

This is where the theory becomes truly beautiful and philosophical.

The tragedy of the Void Century was that Joyboy’s crew fought for a free world while carrying the burdens of an unfree life. The Straw Hat Pirates are the correction of that historical error.

When the Final War arrives, the World Government won't just be fighting a powerful pirate crew. They will be fighting individuals who have completely conquered their own trauma, rejected their royal or cursed lineages, and shattered every chain holding them back.

The Straw Hats will succeed where Joyboy failed because they aren't fighting out of a tragic duty to the past-they are fighting as the living embodiment of absolute, unchained freedom.

The Great One Piece

These are the thoughts my friend and I discussed for like a month. This theory maybe isn't perfect or have so many plotholes. Read and drop your opinions in this....

The Primordial Era: The First World and the Seven Deity's

In the beginning, Devil Fruits did not exist. Instead, the world was shaped by pure imagination, manifesting as seven primordial entities known as the Seven Gods.

The 7 entities

Sun God (Nika)

Forest God

Earth God

Rain God

(The Four Major Gods)

War God

Sea God

Demon/Death God

These seven deities pooled their essences to create the Mother Flame—an infinite energy source meant to ensure eternal peace and equality. However, the Demon God, consumed by greed, sought to weaponize the Flame to rule alone.

By manipulating the other deities, the Demon God triggered a celestial civil war. The resulting clash—specifically between the Sea God and the Rain God—triggered a Great Flood that submerged the "First World." As a final curse upon the world, the sea itself became hostile to those who wielded these divine powers, stripping them of their ability to swim. Upon their deaths, the souls of these Gods didn't vanish; they lingered within their remains, waiting to be reborn.

The Second World: The Age of Davy Jones and the Moon

As the floodwaters stabilized, the "Second World" emerged, ruled by the legendary Davy Jones. He led the survivors and guarded the remaining Mother Flame. During this era, the world was largely uninhabitable—a vast, empty ocean.

Meanwhile, on the Moon, the Lunarians had reached the peak of technological advancement but lacked a sustainable energy source. This led to an ideological schism.

Joyboy : A leader of the Moon race who sought to collaborate with Earth to share the Mother Flame.

Imu : A high-ranking Lunarian who viewed Earth as a territory to be conquered, not partnered with.

Joyboy descended to Earth to strike a deal with Davy

Jones : the Lunarians would use their advanced technology to build a "New World" (the current geography of One Piece) in exchange for a portion of the Mother Flame.

The Possession and the Great Betrayal

The tragedy began with Imu’s jealousy. When Davy Jones insisted that Imu and his followers vacate the Red Line to make room for the new world order, Imu felt humiliated. This vulnerability allowed the lingering spirit of the Demon God to possess Imu.

The Power Split: Haki vs Maki

In this era, power was divided into two spiritual forces:

Haki (Willpower): The "Divine" energy, peaking in Divine Conqueror’s Haki.

Maki (Demonic Intent): A dark, corrosive energy born from the Demon God's influence.

Imu (possessed by the Demon God) manipulated the 20 Kings, leading to the betrayal of Joyboy. As Joyboy fell, his "Will" and the souls of the other fallen Gods manifested into physical form for the first time-creating the Original Devil Fruits.

The Legacy: The Will of D and the Bloodlines

The Meaning of "D"

The "Will of D" represents the Shape of the Half-Moon. It symbolizes a Union of Two Worlds:

D = Half Moon.

The D. Clan are the descendants of the "Union" between the Moon Race (Lunarians) and the Earth Race. They are the "Half-Moons" who carry the genetic and spiritual potential to wield the Mother Flame.

The Reincarnation vs. The Lineage

Shanks : Likely the direct biological descendant of Joyboy (explaining his high-level Conqueror's Haki and the respect the Five Elders show him).

Luffy : The spiritual reincarnation. While Shanks carries the blood, Luffy carries the Nika Will. Their connection to the "Moon Race" is what allows their bodies to withstand the immense pressure of Gear 5 and the "Ancient Will."

The True Nature of Luffy’s Dream and the One Piece

Luffy’s "secret dream" is likely to throw a banquet that includes everyone in the world.

For this to happen, the social barriers, slavery, and geographic isolation of the world must end. Joyboy’s original goal wasn't just political; it was personal. He wanted the redemption of his childhood friend, Imu. Joyboy believed that by freeing Imu from the "Demon God’s" greed, he could free the entire world.

The Treasure at Laugh Tale

A legendary Bottle of Sake: Large enough for the whole world to share.

The Records of the First World: Proving that everyone was once equal. Roger and his crew laughed because the "treasure" to save the world is something as "foolish" and simple as party supplies. It’s a joyful solution to a 800-year-old tragedy.

The Serpent of the Red Line and Shyarly’s Prophecy

The Red Line is not just a geological formation; it is a living/mechanical serpent (The Ouroboros) created during the First World Wars to divide the seas. Imu currently controls this serpent, using it to maintain the world’s "Cage."

Two Paths to the Destruction of Fishman Island:

Madame Shyarly’s prophecy about Luffy destroying Fishman Island could happen in two ways:

The Heroic Path : Luffy destroys the Red Line (The Serpent) to create the "All Blue." Since Fishman Island is directly beneath the Red Line, it is collateral damage. The Fishmen then migrate to the surface using the Noah, fulfilling Joyboy's old promise.

The Deceptive Path : Catarina Devon, having touched Saturn (and potentially Luffy in the future), transforms into Luffy and attacks Fishman Island to frame him, sparking a final war between the Straw Hats and the world.

Imu’s Weakness: The Ope Ope no Mi and the "Heart" Theory

The mystery of Imu’s health—specifically the coughing of blood—points to a "flaw" in their immortality.

The Secret : Imu’s physical heart was removed using the Mes technique and is kept inside the Giant Straw Hat in the cold basement of Pangaea Castle.

The Consequence: Because their heart is external, Imu is physically weak and "leaks" life force (coughing blood).

The Endgame : The Five Elders and the Holy Knights are likely "tethered" to Imu’s life force. If the heart inside the frozen vault is destroyed, the entire power structure of the World Government collapses instantly.

Maybe all of this is wrong. Everyone drop your opinions and share theories related to this.

I only remember the story in the first 2 chapters. I'm not sure that was a reincarnation or regression theme. My memory says it is reincarnation. In the first chapter there will be an assassination against a prince. He will beat them up. I think it was quite a dark mode type of color grading in the first chapter. And the assassination attempt happens at night. Please help me too find this.....
