An expie finds a martial arts scroll while looting storage crates within the caves. It taught him a technique called "Fist of Flowing Water Crushing Rock" and this was the result of his training.

Fen shows off the skills he learned from explosive ordinance training by giving you a firework show!
Happy 4th of July everyone! I hope you all have a great night tonight!
I made a full body rough sketch of my OC, Fen. I have two images of him, with and without the bandana.
I just watched the trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 Edgerunners 2 (it's fuckin cool) and was wondering what Sawians would look like if they were augmented with cybernetics from that universe. Which augments would work well with which Sawian? What would happen if they went cyber-psycho?
I really liked the concept that I came up with yesterday and decided that I'd make it into my very own OC. Fen (short for Fenrir) was one of the many experiments bought from the company by the government to be trained and used as an expendable soldier. He specializes in weapons/hand-to-hand combat, stealth, and espionage. Fen is always sent out on high-risk missions where he isn't expected to make it back out.
Metal Gunsaw Solid 3: Fent Eater
Alright, I finally got page 2 done. I had to help my family out with fixing broken windows, but now I can continue with my practice comic. I'm starting to understand how to get words to flow through a comic, despite not having any speech bubbles. That will be the next thing I have to work on before I make the comic that I've been wanting to make.
In this page, Expie finds some REALLY strange armor in one of the hollow trees of layer 5. He doesn't have any time to wonder why it's there, only enough time to put on what he can fit. Despite not knowing if he will make it out of this alive, or if he even wants to.
I decided to start drawing a short Manga-style comic so I could practice more with using Krita and my drawing pad. This is just something that I came up with off the top of my head. Page two will probably be done late tomorrow, that's where things will get a lil... interesting.
I downloaded Krita about a week ago and finally got a drawing pad to go with it. This is the first time that i actually drew something digitally instead of on paper. It was pretty fun, but something that ill defiantly have to practice more with.
This is a little concept that i came up with for a possible future fic that id like to write/draw once i work on my art style a little more. A soldier gets banished to the Grey Planet and discovers the Sawians. After finding out what they are and why they were sent to the planet, he becomes a mentor to teach them how to survive and fight.
So, earlier today I was listening to the song "Mirror of the World" from Guilty Gear by NAOKI and Arc System Works, when i suddenly get this idea in my head: "what if the Gunsaw mercenary was a ronin?".

Well, once i got back home after work, that 2 second thought turned into a 45 minute drawing session. I gotta say, this drawing goes kinda hard.
Man, it's be a while since I last posted any artwork. I've had my nose at the grind wheel for a few days just practicing my perspectives, forms, and shading. Who knew drawing multiple shapes to make one shape and then putting it into an angle with dark spots was so hard?

But, I'm understanding the process more. I took an old drawing i did of expie and decided to redraw it. Those baby steps of mine are starting to turn into a stride, and it feels good!
So, I just downloaded Krita onto my pc but I have no idea how it works. I've never really used drawing software outside of MS paint before and I was wondering if anyone had some tips or pointers for getting started. Also, should I see about getting a drawing pad to use with it?
Tried to do an art method to give his fur some more realism. Sadly, I ended up turning him into more of a leopard in terms of fur design. Ah well, still learning lol.
I went and bought a proper sketch book so I can start making some bigger sketches. I've made some great progress in getting back into drawing. I figured after 9ish years I wouldn't be able to do a whole lot. But I'm getting more of the rust off my hands now with each sketch.
The proportions of him are kind screwy, but i feel pretty good at how this one turned out. I plan on coloring it in, but that will have to wait till after I get off of work.
Did some more sketches today, still pretty rusty from not drawing for so long. Grid paper is helping out a LOT with getting down the symmetry and dimensions lol.
I also figured I'd try and work on an art style for drawing the Expie. Not sure if I like these ones and honestly might to go for the one I did in my first post. I kinda like how that one looked, but we will see.
I haven't drawn anything in over 9 years. But I really like seeing everyone else's drawings and figured maybe I could try and get back into it. Maybe I can try and reconnect with my creative side, you know?
