A garden in glitch.

Bent my first camera ever and took it to the garden. Just one of the snapster toy cameras from target. No edits on these, just raw data.

Just finished the well of ascension

I'm gonna preface this by saying a little about myself. My partner and I are also reading these together and she's not done yet so I can't talk to her about it.

Before this year books never really spoke to me. I hated reading cuz all I knew was highschool reading. I went with my partner to BAM to get her some new books and picked up the expanse collectors editions (first 3 books) because they were beautiful. Blew through the first 2 books after watching the series multiple times and found a new love for reading.

While talking to a colleague who also loves the expanse, he mentioned this series. I picked it up and have gotten through the first 2 books impossibly quick for someone who hasn't read anything other than news and technical documentation since highschool.

Anyway... I gotta get this off my chest. I'm no particular order... And mostly rhetorical...

What the hell Mr Sanderson. How dare you "kill" Elend and force Vin to make that choice and then ultimately it ends up being the WRONG choice!

Why did we stress the importance of writing things in steel if it could change too.

Who was Zane's god?

I feel similar to how Sazed feels at the end of the book like we've come so far achieved so much only for it to mean nothing and have no purpose at the end. It's so incredibly frustrating, maddening, upsetting, yet perfect.

Also the epigraphs practically telling you how this all will shake out and I couldn't connect the dots until "knives" drives me crazy.

I wish to hear your thoughts and commiserations, I think.
