Seabee Mobilization Question for CEC officers

I'm a newly commissioned ENS, being gained to my unit currently, and I'm still not quite sure how mobilizations work within the CEC. I was told during my interview from before selection that there's 5 battalions and 1 of them is always on mobilization. They basically rotate every year, so a new CB is mobilized.

This is where I'm getting confused. What are the current schedules for mobilization for the CEC and Is there some planned out mobilization schedule? I have 2 associates of mine who did 8 years and never mobilized. And just one that did mobilize. All CEC officers. But the one who mobilized said she didn't really know why the other 2 didn't get mobilized, they said they didn't know either, just that a lot of people volunteer and want to go.

Here's my reasoning for asking this question. I, of course, signed up knowing that when called upon, I will mobilize. No problem with that at all. I did, however, join the reserves and not AD because I want to serve at a reserve capacity and "ideally" not mobilize. Once again restating here that I have no issue getting mobilized, let me make that clear. But avoiding it is preferable. I have no prior service. I'm just a civil engineer on the civilian side that genuinely wanted to join the navy reserves and serve at this capacity. I have many years of experience and feel like I could be contributing more, hence I joined.

I am at my f-ing limit with these architects and GC's on residential builds. I've been working with this same architect in the U.S. on single family residential projects for like 5 years now.

Every single time I get the same question... "Will this project require a stormwater management plan?" and every damn time I say "If it's disturbing more than 1-acre, or creating more than 5,000 sq ft of impervious area, yes." It's literally a state requirement.

And I swear at least once a week I get a response that says "well it's a rural County, can you check to see if they would actually require one? The GC say's they never do one or have needed to." Bro... the County legally has to enforce the state requirement as part of it's MS4 permit. Whether they enforce it or not, is not my problem. It's required. Stop trying to cheap out on this.

And why the actual F would a GC even know a stormwater plan is being submitted by the engineer. 99% of the time they only know a SESC plan is included in the plans and they need to construct silt fence etc. and a simple bioretention area. Why would they know or care that there's an actual stormwater model that was done to confirm the sizing and function of that bioretention area? Do they think it's just made up?

I get it too... single family residential should not this difficult. But when you're building an 8,000 sq ft house with a 10,000 sq ft driveway what the hell do you expect man.

Anyways end of my rant.

New to cat ownership myself but I’ve had family cats in the past. Our kitten (6months old) grew up eating the savory center cans. Like half a can in the AM and the second in the PM. She randomly stopped eating it. But continued to eat the dry kibble. We kept leaving the savory centers out and threw away whatever she didn’t eat.

Recently (like a month ago) we ran out of them and forgot to order more. So I went to the store and got a few cans of the grilled chicken (not the Pâté). She devoured it. Like loved it I guess. So we bought those instead. Literally 2 weeks later now she won’t eat that either. But continues to eat the dry kibble that we keep stocked. I experimented and left out 1/2 a can of the savory center one and she didn’t touch it. So now she’s not eating the chicken nor the savory center pâté.

She drinks tons of water from a big water bowl we leave out for our dog. They share it. So it’s not like she’s dehydrated from only eating the kibble. But she wakes up at like 5am every morning meowing like crazy and I’m assuming it’s because she wants wet food. But then she doesn’t eat the wet food when I put it out.

Idk what to do. But she’s getting us up every morning between 430am and 530am for no apparent reason other than I assume she’s hungry.
