PSA: osu!lazer mod multiplier rebalance is being prepped for implementation

the chosen multiplier values are not public yet so don't go looking for them here, this is just a checklist of everything that they need to do (or at least most of what they need to do) to get everything ready for the change. no clue how long it will take but rest assured that just because you haven't heard anything "publicly" (github is public but i know most people won't ever look there), it doesn't mean progress isn't being made.
AFAIK the pp update is waiting to go out either alongside or some time after the mod multiplier change based on what i've read from pp devs in other reddit threads, so just be patient while the dev team does what they need to do at whatever pace they choose.
