18 y/o Ukrainian immigrant running a full Unraid homelab -- started with Minecraft servers at age 7

I've been meaning to post this for a while. I'm 18, originally from Ukraine, and moved to the US in 2022. I got into "servers" embarrassingly early, like age 7 or 9. I was running Minecraft servers for friends. At 14, I got into actual self-hosting, and by 16, I really went down the rabbit hole.

Here's what I'm running now.

Hardware

ASRock B760M-A D4 motherboard, Intel i5-13500T (13th gen, 6 P-cores + 8 E-cores), 48 GB DDR4. GPU is an Intel Arc A380, which I use for Plex transcoding and Tdarr. The whole thing runs on Unraid.

Storage

Array: 6TB Toshiba + 2TB HGST (no parity -- I know, I know. The array only has movies, TV shows, and some downloads on it, so I'm not too worried)

Pool: 1TB Crucial SATA SSD (appdata and Docker), three 500GB WD drives in ZFS for family photos and backups. That stuff I care about.

Boot/Cache: 512GB WD SN810 NVMe (for downloads (using nvme because on sata ssd nzb downloads are bottlenecked by it so have to use something with dram)

Containers

Running about 30+ containers across a few categories:

Services: Nextcloud, DuckDNS, Scrutiny, NginxProxyManager, Cloudflared tunnel, Immich, Notifiarr and obviously arr stack

Media automation: Radarr (1080p + 4K + Anime), Sonarr (1080p + 4K + Anime), Prowlarr, Bazarr, Cleanuparr, tdarr + tdarr_node, seerr, Readarr, Speakarr

Downloads: SABnzbd, qBittorrent (through VPN), yt-dlp via binhex-official-metube

Media servers: Plex (on host network), Jellyfin (stopped for now use it when have issues with plex), Audiobookshelf

Misc: Tautulli, Crafty-4 (Minecraft server), Local SpeedTest

The case situation is... not great. I'm not posting pictures. Saving up for a Jonsbo N5 to make it an actual proper NAS build instead of whatever chaos is happening right now.

Happy to answer questions. Also curious if there are other people who got into this stuff absurdly young.

JONSBO N2/N3/N4/N5 build help - which case + mobo + CPU for a media/NAS server?

Hey everyone, looking for some guidance before I pull the trigger on parts. Going back and forth between the JONSBO N-series cases, and could use some real-world input from people who've built in them.

What I'm building:
Home NAS + media server running Unraid. Running an AV1 transcoding on Sparkle Intel Arc A380 ELF. So I have no idea what CPU I should pick to replace that GPU (it's fine with me if I keep the GPU in the build, but how?)

What I need and already have:
I would also like to keep and use an HBA card instead of the backplate that I already have.
I NEED it to be a DDR4-based system because DDR5 is crazy expensive right now, and I already have 48 gigs of DDR4.

What I'm trying to figure out:

  1. Which JONSBO case? There are no Intel CPUs that can do AV1 encoding, so I would need to use an external ARC GPU. I would like to keep using my Sparkle Intel Arc A380 ELF. But if needed, I can try replacing it with ARC A310 Eco.
  2. Motherboard: Doesn't matter which motherboard it is; it needs to have DDR4 and ideally 2 PCIe slots (one for the HBA, one for GPU if I can't do AV1 on a CPU). 2.5GbE is nice to have.
  3. CPU: Leaning towards Intel, but if I can't do AV1 on DDR4 with Intel, I will have to do it on an external GPU. Can I go AM4?
  4. AV1 encode situation: I know hardware AV1 encode needs Arc discrete or Core Ultra (DDR5). So what do I do if I want it to be DDR4?

Budget-conscious but not stingy. Want something reliable that'll run 24/7 for years.

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

I am running an ARR stack with trash guides and anime-quality profiles, and I currently have Nyaa, Tokyo Toshokan, and Anime Tosho. What other indexers should I use? Some of my anime are only available in 480p (Monster, Bleach), but there are versions on other indexers that are 1080p Blu-ray or even remuxes. I use torrent and NZB.

https://preview.redd.it/uaz5s0xiwryg1.png?width=203&format=png&auto=webp&s=38d7715658235e63f036484a5b2e36a9ab075e09

Those are the indexers that I use for anime.

What recommendation can you give me? Because recently I wanted to watch an anime, and my Radarr instance only found Bd tier 7, and then when I used https://releases.moe/, it found Bd tier 2 (on nyaa), but my Radarr did not see it, which disappointed me (the reason I did it is that the ASS subtitles were low quality and https://releases.moe/ found the greatest version)

Is anyone using them? Especially dual CPU, is it working well or not really? I'm trying to get one from eBay, but my concern is a Chinese motherboard, I fear it might be in Chinese so I would not understand anything in bios and the latest update would be really old. What do y'all think about it? Let me know because I am really curious.
