Are you supposed to scratch the FPC connectors before soldering?
In another thread I read that you’re supposed to scratch the FPC connector pads because they have a film or wax above it or else the solder would not stick on the pads. Is this true? I haven’t seen people do this on the YouTube tutorials. I am curious if this is necessary or not.
