Owners looking to sell but tenants haven’t been made aware

Asking on behalf of a friend:

She and her flatmates have heard rumours that the owners of their apartment block are thinking of selling as the property is currently quite undervalued. Their property managers haven’t spoken to them directly but a third-party evaluator has been in touch with her flatmates multiple times to try to arrange a time for them to be able to enter their flat and take measurements.

I’m of the opinion that while their contract says they have to allow such people acting on behalf of the Landlord or Agent to access the property if given 24 hours’ notice, the agent hasn’t given them any notice at all as it’s not the agent who is getting in touch so they shouldn’t be obliged to let strangers into their home.

My friend is also wondering about the data protection of it all - is it okay for the agent to have given this third-party evaluator their phone numbers and email addresses without alerting the tenants?

Are over-the-ear sleep headbands worth it?

I’ve always been a really light sleeper, and after a childhood sharing a bedroom with a snoring sister I graduated to apartments on two very noisy streets and now a houseshare with people with different routines (who I’ve already had the noise convo with! And I’m in the process of trying to ‘soundproof’ the place as best I can, so no need to suggest those things <3).
I’ve been wearing earplugs to sleep since I was a teenager, and a few years ago it caused a problem with my right ear that still prevents me from wearing an earplug or any kind of earphone without causing severe irritation. My Loop earplug works great in my left ear, but that stops being much use as soon as I roll over onto my left side in my sleep! I’m too old now to be running on not enough sleep and reaching the end of my tether with how much it affects my life.
Interested to know if a product like a SnoozeBand will be a game-changer for me or just a waste of money - do people find them irritating to have on their faces and sleep in in a way that cancels out the noise-dampening benefits? Would love to hear from people who have tried them as similarly fussy sleepers.

tldr: SnoozeBands and the like - game-changers or more trouble than they’re worth?

Alternatively, if those products aren’t worth it, might anyone have any other suggestions for someone unable to put anything in one ear but unable to sleep without some sort of noise-cancelling?
