Assuming this is a bug? I haven’t bought it as I’m worried about breaking my game.
All the other high value items and literally every single ask is net or net produced 🫠
The last few boxes we’ve had, the recipes have consistently been subpar and full of errors.
Two examples - first being that we swapped duck out for chicken on a recipe, and the image on the website showed breaded chicken pieces. When the recipe arrived there was no mention of breadcrumbs anywhere at all - completely misleading. The recipe also continued to refer to duck instead of chicken throughout. You can see in the photos that they have three different kinds of breaded and unbreaded chicken throughout the steps. (The first one is supposed to be raw but appears fully cooked?)
Secondly - we’ve had the garlic rice/chicken recipe tonight and it’s completely omitted the need to heat or use the oven until the moment it had to suddenly be in the oven. No mention of expected temperature at all; just “roast it”.
Are these mistakes human or is it because they’re using AI to generate the recipes/photos and it’s just missing off entire steps or hallucinating extra ingredients?
Hey all. This is my first time posting here, but I’ve seen so many posts receive tons of support and I could really do with a pep talk.
I’m 32. I’ve had my stoma for almost 10 full years now, following urgent surgery because of severe UC. I’ve always been super duper positive about it. My ileostomy has always been so “well behaved” so to speak.
A little over a year ago, however, I experienced my first ever prolapse. Previously my stoma has consistently been quite small with almost no skin issues. It wasn’t even that long of a prolapse. Maybe an extra inch maximum, with a hard, swollen base. I laid on my back and it went back inside, and adjusted my wafer aperture to accommodate. I even travelled to London do a big conference talk for work 2 days later - I’m pretty good at just pushing this stuff aside and “getting on with it”.
Ever since that day, my stoma feels like it’s a little wider, a little bigger than originally. It does also prolapse a little every now and then. Again, no more than a couple centimetres really; it sort of looks like he is pooping out a little more bowel. It can feel slightly uncomfortable, a bit of pressure, but no colour changes and output continues as normal.
I also got a couple of solid support belts from Suportx and those have so far helped to keep things inside when I go on walks/shopping etc.
My issue is that I am now spiralling with anxiety about this being the start of many more issues. (I have OCD to top it off, defo doesn’t help!) I have my completion proctectomy coming up this year after summer, and I’m under investigation for some other health issues atm. It is all coming together in a big pile of worry.
Anyone else living with a small prolapse? Is it manageable long term? I almost feel like I’ve failed at being a “good stoma patient” with this development and I’m just waiting for the other shoe to drop, so to speak, and everything to go downhill again. 💔
Thanks folks. I don’t really have many friends with ostomies - just one, but hers is super unproblematic too.
