Is studying bachelors in OU worth it?

Hi! I just recently graduated high school last month. As an international student, I’m contemplating if I should try out OU with BA Hons in Design and Innovation this October. Due to my school documents not matching my passport name I technically don’t have anything with my passport name to submit my school transcript with.
Since OU follows open admissions my parents are skeptical with “open admission” process and think that there might be a catch or scam but I tried convincing them that it is a genuine institution in the UK.

How is the OU open admissions work and do you just pay the tuition to be able to start studying? I just want to start over with my current passport name to continue my further education and possibly transfer to a brick uni in the UK or US.

Thanks:)

Scared for not getting diploma

Guys.. 2 more days and I have a gut feeling that I wouldn’t get diploma because I have a feeling that I wouldn’t get the HL marks 😰😭😭 I’ve been so petrified and still thinking on the worst case scenario when I open up my results on the 6th 😣😣😣

study at OU then transfer into brick uni in UK or US

Hello, I just wanna ask if any of you guys have the experience,

I’m graduating High School this June and wants to try out OU with BA Honors Design and Innovation programme. I’ve been unsatisfied with my home country’s education system and want to study abroad but due to transcript issues with my previous name I can’t study abroad as they don’t match with my passport name.

Since OU is online university I plan to study full time for Year 1 and Year 2 then transferring into a traditional brick uni either in UK or US. Can I ask like if it’s possible to do a credit transfer to universities without any A-levels or high school transcripts just on what you have studied in OU and how was the experience like and success stories?

I feel really lost on what to do and right now I about to pay for reservation fee in one of my home country’s uni and take a half gap year to figure out in my future education.
