How can I write an mc without clear motivation at first
I am writing my first script at times to get my sudden burst of creativity out because when I keep em in I feel weird. It’s a bit like sopranos but set in a cyberpunk world. The mc is at the begging a foot soldier for a low level family. I kind of want at first to have some fun adventures and dilly dallying around with his crew at the begging but from the YouTube essays I watched when I was a little younger a character without a motivation and a story without a clear goal is not ideal and it gets boring and confusing for the audience. Should I find a smaller over arching goal for now till things advance or can I just put some sprinkle some characters moments around till I think of something? Open to any advice even basic stuff I don’t really know what I am doin
