40/M - Looking for friends!

I'm 40, male, straight, married, no kids, and work from home. I'm looking to meet other guys in a similar age bracket to chat, hang out, or grab a coffee with, or play video games on the weekends. My full time job and consulting keep me busy.

I'm a scientist by trade. I enjoy piano, music production, and video games, and I do independent research on the side. I'm nerdy, athletic, and I don't enjoy political debates. I'm not terribly enthused with sports, either.

It's a reach, but I'd like to get to know others looking for something similar. Here's to hoping!

I purchased this Langendorf pocket watch at an antique store a long time ago. It runs, and the front/back are mother of pearl. There's a chip missing from the pearl ring on the front of the pocket watch, but I have a portion of that chip (first image, left side, in the baggy).

Ideally, I would like to somehow repair the aesthetics of the front of the watch, and have the gears in spected and/or cleaned. Are there specialists that do this kind of aesthetic / mechanical work? If so, how much would they typically charge for something like this?

The last time I asked a professional about this, they said 'nobody would touch the watch' due to the pearl.

Or am I out of luck, and just learn to appreciate the aesthetics of the watch as it is now? I don't know the year, but it looks very similar in style to this watch.

I purchased this beautiful pocket watch at an antique store a while ago, and it runs well. However, the front had incurred damage prior to my purchase.

I've been looking for a newer to fix the face and clean the watch. In a prior inquiry, I was told that "nobody will touch that watch", based the mother of pearl.

Do I have any options? Could anyone provide any information on the watch?
