Hi again- I can’t stop myself from looking at the bags in thrift stores so I bought another one while moving a friend out of her place as she was dropping off donations 😅 the bag is in great shape so I’m a little suspicious of it being legit but I figured for $35 even if it’s just a nice leather bag then I’m not mad. Hi Coachies, wondering if you can help me authenticate this bag I found at a local thrift store? I believe it’s a small Bixby sling. I have some doubt because I am having a hard time reading the story patch. Any help or clarification is greatly appreciated!

So I have always loved vintage Coach, I remember playing dress up as a kid with my mom’s purses and heels and makeup and loving her black leather bag because it felt fancy to me even at that age. I’m a late 80’s baby and my mom definitely scored some great pieces when she was working in lower Manhattan before I was born. Lately I’ve been seeing more 90’s and early 2000’s pieces online, but this weekend I hit an estate sale in central NJ (yes it exists) at 9am right when it started and right off the bat these 3 gems were waiting for me on a table as soon as I walked in. I have been wanting a Willis for months now but for it to fall in my lap like this was like hearing the hallelujah choir validating all my life choices. Anyway I guess the moral of the story is the early bed gets the worm? I’m so delighted. I conditioned them once I got home and will do another round before carrying any of them- I’ve never seen a Weston before and I’m excited to see how it works for my habit of schlepping too much around with me all the time.
