Proposal location help!

My niece’s boyfriend reached out to me asking for location suggestions for a surprise proposal in early October. They will be taking a trip to Washington to visit both the North Cascades and Mt. Rainier

He’s never been to either parks, and is looking for a proposal location that is beautiful, not too crowded, and easy to get to- he doesn’t want to drag her on a long hike before proposing, so ideally it would be a spot that has a pretty view, but on an easy, quick trail. Also! If it involves a lake that would be a huge plus!

It’s been a long time since I was in the area, so I’m having trouble coming up with ideas. I would so appreciate any suggestions! Thank you!

Commute to Ballet Class

Just out of curiosity, how far do you drive to your weekly ballet classes?
I drive 30-40 mins (depending on traffic) twice a week, and am hoping to add a 3rd class later this year.

I’m so jealous of anyone with a great ballet studio right down the road from their home!
What a dream😩🩰

What do you think about at home ballet class?

I have 1.5 years of ballet experience as an adult with no previous dance or athletic background, and feel like I’m in a solid beginner level (maybe tiptoeing into advanced beginner) and I really want to start pushing myself to improve.
The issue is that I’m only able to take 2 classes per week- my studio only as two morning adult beginner classes per week, and all the other dance studios in my area are competition dance focused and not classical ballet.

I want to start doing at home YouTube classes(specifically Katherine Morgan) on the weekdays I don’t have ballet class, but I’ve seen multiple people suggest that it’s not recommended for beginners to do too much work at home since there’s no teacher to correct.

I have a absolutely stellar teacher at my studio who gives loads of corrections, and treats her adults students as seriously as her young students, so I feel like she’d catch any potential bad habits forming and I can make sure to do my best to self correct at home.

Has anyone here had good experience with supplementing their training with at home classes?

I also cross train/go to the gym twice a week + do evening mobility and stretching 4-6 times per week, so I’m mostly looking to add more ballet specific work to my week

I want your realistic ballet flexibility advice

Hi! I’m on a journey to improve my overall flexibility as an adult ballet dancer and I’m honestly overwhelmed with all the conflicting advice online about the best methods, and I can’t help but feel a lot of what I see is not 100% honest. Everyone is trying to sell a course or get views with clickbait titles and most of the people demonstrating have been flexible since childhood.

So I’m asking for advice from anyone who has gained significant, yet realistic flexibility results- what are your biggest tips and overall advice? How much progress have you made?

My background for context: I’m 33, and have been taking ballet classes twice a week for the past year. I have zero dance or athletic background and have always suffered from extremely tight hamstrings- I have just gotten to the point where I can consistently touch my toes lol.

My current goals are to work towards getting my splits and to build hipflexor strength for controlled extensions
