RIP to my favorite tree in Chicago 💔

RIP to my favorite tree in Chicago 💔

Honestly so sad. I hate seeing fallen trees but this one really killed me when I saw it. Especially after one of the main branches broke off a couple years ago. I felt like I had some sort of spiritual connection to this tree in Loyola Park, as I’m sure at least a few others did as well. I’d often see people staring up in awe at its canopy. What a tragic loss.

400 Theater sign changed

Used to say “movie theater and coffee shop for sale” but finally changed. I’ve seen some people working on cleaning it out and working on renovations it seems. I know they posted on Facebook the other day hiring someone to manage their food/bev when they open up. Really hoping they open by the end of summer.

Also wondering if the old Starbucks space finally sold, it’s too nice a spot to sit empty like it has.

Does anyone know if the North Ave Beach bathrooms are open as of today?

I’d like to ride my bike to Beach volleyball tonight and would like to change clothes there! TIA.
