I've been researching DAP's the last few days and for someone that's only used an iPod it is extremely confusing. I'm willing to spend some money for the right player but I don't need anything fancy. I'll only be using it for music. Here's what I'm looking for:

1 - An iTunes like desktop app that will allow me to organize the DAP, make playlists, and edit songs (like cutting off 30 seconds of static at the end of a song).

2 - Storage capacity of 500+ GB. An SD card is fine. I'd like to be able to have all my music on an SD card so if the player dies I can just put it into a new player.

3 - Headphone port for headphones and auxiliary output for my car.
