Frederico (Kiko) Figueiredo (seen here doing the hanging pull ups with Inelia Garcia) will be in NYC for an immersion workshop August 22-23. The workshop will focus on the mat and reformer, how to transition from the basic to intermeditate exercises in the Authentic Pilates System. I am so excited about this workshop! It is the first time Kiko will be presenting a workshop in the US. He is a lead teacher for Inelia Garcia and he has several studios in Portugal. He has a deep knoweledge of the work, especially the precision and the details that make the magic happen in Authentic Pilates.

We are so excited to welcome Frederiko (Kiko) Figeuiredo, one of Authentic Pilates/Inelia Garcia's senior teachers, direct from Lisbon for a live in-studio workshop August 22-23 in NYC for Beyond the Exercises. Kiko will be demonstrating how to use the entire studio system to build the Intermediate exercises on the reformer and mat. Learn how to construct the exercises and how to build your clients' bodies for success as you progress them in their sessions.

This is an intensive two-day workshop designed to take you into the heart of Authentic Pilates. You will leave with a greater understanding of the foundation of the exercises in your own body as well as specific teaching tools to use for your students. With these tools, your clients will progress rapidly and successfully. You will gain more confidence as a teacher and be able to understand how to better help different body types and anomalies. If you have been hearing about Inelia Garcia and her teaching, this is a great way to be introduced to her work through Kiko.

Federico (Kiko) Figueiredo is the Assistant and Technical Director of The Pilates Studio Portugal, contributing directly to the education of new professionals within the high standards defined by Inelia Garcia – teacher of teachers. He is the lead organizer of the training programs in Lisbon. He works directly with the trainees and coaches them throughout the certification program from the pre-testing through the final exams. He holds a Degree in Physical Education from the “Faculdade de Motricidade Humana” of the University of Lisbon (FMH) and obtained his Pilates certification from The Pilates Studio Brasil – Inelia Garcia in 2009
