What can a transfer student do this week to meet people and get involved?

Where/when are the best places to go on campus this week for a sophomore transfer student majoring in biochem to meet new people and learn about ways to get involved, ie. Clubs, sports, etc.?
TIA!😊

Tell me about living at Residences on Bigelow! :)

What type of/year students live here? Is it worth the price? How is the walk to campus from there? Do you feel isolated living there? Is it a good place for a transfer student starting their sophomore year there, particularly on who knows nobody and wants to meet people?

Transfer housing questions

Hi,

My son will be a sophomore transferring to Pitt in Fall of 26. He was accepted into the Biochem program. I was told that the college will not provide housing. Where are some good places for us to look for him to live? I want him to be able to make friends. Do you lease for the whole year or on a monthly basis? Do you purchase a meal plan if you live off campus? We haven't even visited the campus yet so I am not familiar with the area at all.

TIA

FTB
