Hitachi Sumo vs O General?
I’m confused about which AC brand to go with.
Currently, we have a Hitachi 1.5-ton fixed-speed AC in a 230 sq. ft. room. We bought it in 2020, and overall it has performed well. The only issue we’ve faced is a couple of gas leaks. We’re now planning to move this AC to our guest room, which is rarely used.
The problem is that most brands seem to follow stricter tonnage recommendations these days, so I don’t think they’ll install a 1.5-ton AC in a 230 sq. ft. room.
Which brand would you recommend for the best overall experience in terms of cooling, reliability, and after-sales service?
We also have an O General fixed-speed AC at our office that’s almost a year old. Surprisingly, its cooling doesn’t feel as good as the older O General units, which has made me a bit skeptical.
I’m now confused about which brand to choose. Also, would you recommend an inverter AC or a fixed-speed AC? The AC typically runs for 7–9 hours a day, and occasionally up to 10 hours.
Any suggestions or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.
