Which premium ~2 Ton AC would you pick if all of these were around ₹60k? Daikin vs Mitsubishi Heavy vs Mitsubishi Electric vs Panasonic

Hi everyone,
I'm buying an AC for my showroom and, all of these models are available to me for around ₹58k–₹62k.

Here are the shortlisted models:
Daikin FTKM60XV1.8 Ton, 5-Star, ISEER 5.70

Mitsubishi Heavy SRK18YXS2-W61.65 Ton, 5-Star, ISEER 5.70 (Made in Thailand)

Mitsubishi Electric MSY-GZ22VF1.9 Ton, 4-Star, ISEER 5.00 (Made in Thailand)

Mitsubishi Electric MSY-GRT22VF1.9 Ton, 4-Star, ISEER 5.00 (Made in Thailand)

Panasonic CS/CU-NU24BKY5W2.0 Ton, 5-Star, ISEER 5.80

The AC will be installed in my showroom and will run for 8–12 hours a day during North Indian summers.

I'm not too concerned about smart features or Wi-Fi—I'm more interested in the engineering, compressor quality, heat exchanger quality, and real-world performance.

I'd especially love to hear from anyone who has owned any of these models.

Thanks in advance!

Bought Daikin FTKP50XV 1.5 ton 4 star 2026

Daikin FTKP50XV 1.5 ton 4 star 2026

I purchased it from Amazon for 37k. Amazon has many negative reviews about it but mostly of installation. Flipkart has more positive ratings . Now I am having doubts . Please if anybody can suggest , is it a good purchase or not. Did not go for Daikin 5 star because it was 45k +. Panasonic 5 star has a lot of negative reviews about service in semi urban cities.

I do not want plenty of features. Just a good reliable ac for long term . Should I cancel the purchase.

Help out please. It is my first ac. Wanted something below 40k with double coil in Outdoor unit.

Suggestions under 30K for Basement Office 1.5 Ton Split AC

Suggestions under 30K for Basement Office 1.5 Ton Split AC

Setting up a basement office and looking to get a 1.5 ton split AC installed, budget capped at ₹30K. A few specifics that might matter:

It’s a basement, so no direct sun load, but ventilation is limited and it tends to feel humid.

Outdoor unit will need a slightly longer pipe run since there’s no direct external wall nearby.

Mostly used during work hours (8-10 hrs/day), so decent energy efficiency matters more than peak cooling power.

Has anyone here installed a split AC in a similar basement setup? Curious about:

Which brands/models have held up well for you under ₹30K

Whether a 3-star convertible unit is enough vs pushing for 5-star

Any installation gotchas specific to basements (drainage, pipe runs, moisture)

Generally finding LG or Hisense.

Would appreciate any real experience over spec-sheet comparison . Thanks!

Need help choosing the best 2 Ton 5 star AC for my showroom (Almost same price) – Daikin vs Panasonic vs Mitsubishi Heavy

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to buy a premium inverter AC for my showroom and have narrowed it down to these three models. They're all available at almost the same price, so I'm more interested in real-world performance, reliability, cooling, power consumption, after-sales service, and long-term ownership rather than just specs.

Models shortlisted:
Daikin FTKM60XV – ₹62,000
Panasonic CS/CU-NU24BKY5W – ₹60,000
Mitsubishi Heavy SRK18YXS2-W6 – ₹58,000

The AC will be installed in my showroom, where it will run for long hours during peak summers.

I've read that the Mitsubishi Heavy has exceptional cooling and airflow, Daikin is known for reliability and efficiency, while Panasonic offers great features and value.

Looking forward to hearing your opinion. Thanks!

Undersized AC usage, best is Daikin or LG ?

INTRO :

Planning to install an 1.5 ton inverter AC on a 100 sq. ft. rental room, where 1 ton is enough, just to future proof esp., for relocation.

Being oversized units, LG has "manual convertible modes" to cap the AC limit, but daikin works on "auto mode" only. Still daikin is said to be the most reliable system though.

~30% is the lowest cooling capacity of both lg and daikin.

QUESTION :

To undersize 1.5 ton as 1 ton, do LG has an upper hand, or Daikin auto mode will work well?

Or some other brand will be good?

Hitachi Sumo vs O General?

I’m confused about which AC brand to go with.

Currently, we have a Hitachi 1.5-ton fixed-speed AC in a 230 sq. ft. room. We bought it in 2020, and overall it has performed well. The only issue we’ve faced is a couple of gas leaks. We’re now planning to move this AC to our guest room, which is rarely used.

The problem is that most brands seem to follow stricter tonnage recommendations these days, so I don’t think they’ll install a 1.5-ton AC in a 230 sq. ft. room.

Which brand would you recommend for the best overall experience in terms of cooling, reliability, and after-sales service?

We also have an O General fixed-speed AC at our office that’s almost a year old. Surprisingly, its cooling doesn’t feel as good as the older O General units, which has made me a bit skeptical.

I’m now confused about which brand to choose. Also, would you recommend an inverter AC or a fixed-speed AC? The AC typically runs for 7–9 hours a day, and occasionally up to 10 hours.

Any suggestions or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for a budget, ultra-quiet BLDC fan recommendation

I'm looking for an economical BLDC ceiling fan that's very quiet. I can compromise on airflow/performance since I'll mostly be using it at speed 1 or 2, so air delivery isn't a major concern.

My priorities are:

  • Very silent operation
  • Sleep mode
  • Timer function
  • Good reliability
  • Budget-friendly

Which models would you recommend based on your experience? Thanks!

I bought a Panasonic 1.5-ton 5-star AC about one and a half months ago. For the last 2–3 days, water has been dripping from the hole underneath the outdoor unit. Is this normal, or is there something to worry about? The humidity in Delhi is currently very high.

Is this sound normal for the Ac?

I heard this sound for the first time...(It is like the very old fan is moving) ...It seems like the odu is vibrating..There is no compressor sound as we can see in the video.. Earlier I used to hear a smooth sound..Has anyone experienced the same and is it normal or not?

Just for prospective - This is a new Ac purchased..This Ac is only 2 months old.

Buying a new AC

I'm planning on purchasing a new AC and I'm confused whether to buy it from the official website or Amazon. I'm getting a discount of almost 4k on Amazon. Is it safe to make a purchase from Amazon or should I stick to the official website? I've compared both the models and they're exactly the same units. What should I do?

I need a 1 Ton Rental AC

Hello everyone,

Can anyone recommend a reliable rental AC provider?

I’m looking for a **1-ton AC on rent for 12 months**. If you have any good contacts or personal recommendations, please share them.

Also, thanks to Rentomojo’s “dynamic pricing,” I won’t be renting from them.

Which Ac to purchase

I live in a 1500 sq feet house in Toronto Canada. I typically don’t turn on AC unless it’s like 27 degrees Celsius.

I received these quotes. Which one is better? Is it worth going for the more expensive one given it has higher seer? Any other things to consider when purchasing this?

Carrier comfort 14 (model 24scb4)
\- 14 seer
\- price 3800
\- no heat pump
\- No energy star

Vs
Carrier performance 18 (model 38mura)
\- 18 seer
\- price 4300
\- heat pump
\- no energy star

Would you spend ₹16k repairing this 6-year-old O General AC or just replace it?

I need some advice from people who have experience with O General ACs or AC repairs.

I have an O General 1.5 Ton Split AC (Model: ASGG18CGTA) that I purchased in 2019. Honestly, it has been a troublesome AC almost from day one.

Issues I've faced

  • Cooling has always felt weak. Even when it was new, it never cooled as well as my LG 1.5T AC that I bought in 2020. The difference has always been noticeable.
  • Gas has been refilled 3 times in 6 years. This makes me suspect there's a slow refrigerant leak somewhere.
  • Last year, the PCB failed. I got it repaired through Urban Company.
  • The repaired PCB failed again within 3 months, so UC repaired it again under warranty.
  • Now, the PCB has failed yet again.

Current dilemma

A brand-new PCB replacement will cost around ₹15,000–16,000.

Considering:

  • Weak cooling since the beginning
  • Multiple refrigerant refills
  • Repeated PCB failures
  • The AC is now about 6 years old

I'm wondering whether it makes sense to spend another ₹15-16k on it.

Would you:

  1. Replace the PCB and continue using it. Also get it checked for leaks and gas refill (+2-3K) = Total 18K to fix everything.
  2. Sell the AC as-is and buy a new LG AC instead?

Has anyone had similar reliability issues with O General, or am I just unlucky with this unit?

I'd really appreciate hearing what you'd do in my situation.
