Anyone use some sort of sleeve under your hinged brace?

I had an ORIF on my elbow a few weeks ago and am in a hinged brace now. These damn things just never stay in place. Same experience I've had with a leg one I had when I was younger.

I tried using a stockinette under it and they work sort of, but are too loose.

I am thinking of picking up an arm sleeve that baseball/basketball players wear?

Anyone tried using one of those types of sleeves under their hinged brace?

Fell & dislocated my elbow. Elbow surgeon put me in a hinged restricted motion brace. Dislocated again just by slightly rotating my hand.

Had a small fracture on radial head that was grade 1, so no repair. Olecranon tip was cracked off but not enough to repair. Then, I had loose bodies from dislocating it 18 years ago playing sports.

During surgery they re-attached my lateral ulnar collateral ligament and put in an internal joint stabilizer system. The hardware is temporary and will come out in 3-6 months. I got the cast off today and back to the hinged brace! Let full rehab commence!

Anyone currently looking for an ID in Chicago? Lots of listings but seems like most of these people may just have listing up indefinitely till they find a unicorn.

Anyone have experience in our market?

I know everyone is different based on so many factors, but I’m wondering how my elbow people out there did when it came to driving?

I had my right knee replaced March 12th and started driving after 4 weeks. Slipped and fell on a slick floor at a car wash 2 days after driving again. I dislocated my elbow (2nd time in 15 years).

I managed to detach my LUCL ligament, crack the tip of my olecranon, and closed fracture on radial head. Doc managed to attach the ligament, remove loose bodies from old injury, and attach the fractured part of my olecranon. He also put in a hinged internal joint stabilizer.

Cast comes off 2 weeks after surgery then hinged brace.

Thoughts on a range I may be looking at till I’m driving again? I’m healthy and 37 if that matters.

How long do it take you? Thanks all.
