Anyone know what happened on the 66 bridge last night around 10:00pm? The bridge was closed and I saw a helicopter searching the water.

I remember watching a monster movie in the 80s and likely made during that time. From time to time, I’ve wondered what that movie was. The two scenes I remember are the following:

One scene where I believe a man, a woman, and a teenaged child are sitting around a table in the kitchen. When the teenager looks under the table, there’s a monster, or something like that.

The second scene involves a mirror in the bathroom possibly and going through the mirror into another place. I remember he uses a string to help find his way back to the mirror.

At first, I thought it might be Monster Squad, but I don’t believe so. Thanks for helping with this 35+ year mystery I’ve had!
