Hard mode Tokyo Metro (from May 2011)

Kanji overload! And very limited English on the terminal.

It was somewhat rare, but I did run into this situation a few times as a tourist dumb enough to venture outside of the regular tourist areas.

I think this is when I was still buying paper tickets and hadn't discovered how to use the IC cards yet. I'm pretty sure I overpaid and hoped for the best, or got ready to do fare adjustment on the other side.

Today IC card + Google Maps is such a game changer

Sudden problems with Raleigh’s projectors?

Has anyone else noticed their movie randomly changing color temperature like 10 times during the movie? Just saw this tonight in theatre 5, and a few days back in theatre 8.

I’ve been going here for years and the audio/video has always been great until now. I reported it through the website both times but haven’t heard back.

City of Stumps - why were trees removed along New Bern near Alamo Drafthouse?

Sorry for the sort of clickbait title. I was surprised to see all the trees in the median removed along New Bern and Raleigh Blvd, and the whole area looks pretty bleak now. Anyone know why they were removed, and are there plans for make it nicer? Part of the reason I moved to the area was because of all the trees in general.
