Tayler Saucedo Stats

Tayler Saucedo Stats

He struggles with walks, especially against right handed batters but he isn't getting hit. He is a ground ball pitcher and excellent against left handed batters. Low in both hard-hit percentage and in expected stats.

Alek Manoah outrighted; Ryan Johnson optioned; Tayler Saucedo recalled

Alek Manoah is no longer on the roster. Double minimum salary for a guy who gave us 7 innings of uninspired ball. This is by far the worst signing of Perry's tenure. All the signs of how bad he had become were evident, yet he was still rushed up. Stupid, awful signing.

Alek Manoah today: 5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 5 BB, 2 K

4 groundouts, 5 flyouts, 3 lineouts and 1 pop up. Allowed 2 doubles (one missed being a 2 run homerun). 15 balls put in play, averaging an exit velocity of 88.6 mph. His max velocity was 92 mph. Thoughts on his performance?

Alek Manoah activated, Sam Aldegheri optioned down

Alek Manoah has been reinstated from the 15 day IL. From Kurt's quotes, it sounds like he's going to be a bullpen arm for now. No word on yet on who replaces Kikuchi.

I was under the impression Saucedo had no more option years left. Guess he does. He stays in the 40 man roster. Wonder if they're going to use Yates as a closer right away?

Sandlin had options but just passed the five years threshold. With his release, that leaves a roster spot open. Who will be added? And if Aldegheri is up, does that mean he is starting tomorrow?

Today's Angels loss was really terrible (muffled pain noise). Two losses in a row that make me think, " Can you believe there's such a terrible way to lose?" That's strange. That's strange. The Royals vs White Sox... I'd thought we'd be living off savings by the time it was over. I remember saying things like "five wins is a lot!" Uh, something is not right there. Where did the wins go? Recently, these losses have been terrible and in a string of them. Feels like the worst in the last five years. Well, there are certainly negative aspects to the lineage as well. Well, let's assume that's the basic premise because everything just backfires. Even the weather forecast is unfavorable!
