Zeta adventure windshield installed

Hoping this helps reduce the human sail effect especially when tackling headwind. Sourced from Webike. What I like about this one is being able to mount stuff on the windshield bars, so this will come in handy for a forward facing camera or a display of some sort. Clears my aftermarket tach as well, the adjustability and clearance on this windshield was a bonus.

FYI, the fitment guide on Webike says 2019-21 model years, but can confirm the upper handlebar clamp fitment works with my 2026 model and my stock bars. What might be different slightly is the throttle cables, but I can’t quite tell what the difference would be.

Had to do a bunch of trial and error with the throttle cable so it’s positioned in a way I’m comfortable with it not having the risk of binding or catching on stuff lock to lock. I ended up not following the recommended routing from the install manual, because otherwise with the cables routed to the “outside” of the lower mounting arm, turning left full lock pulls too much on one of the two cables. Ended up releasing the throttle cables from the twist throttle and then freeing them from the guide next to the fork, and having them go on the “inside” of the arm instead so left full lock no longer yanks them too much. Also that way they have more room to move when turning full lock to the right instead of being bunched up.

Exhaust guard installed

Motion J brand sourced from Beezdeals. Pic 2 shows without heat shield and tip protector so you can see the two mounting points. Rest of pics just shows it installed and how it looks on bike. As the name implies, this is to help protect your exhaust from getting bashed on a drop.

Fits stock exhaust including heat shield no problem, I feel like I’ve seen a similar guard on someone else’s bike used with a yoshi exhaust which clears fine because it’s shorter. With my t-rex engine guards, feels like this guard flows with the look.

Side Bag Installed

Sourced from ebay. The thing I like about this one is it came with a pannier frame that doesn’t take up precious threads on the top shock mount bolt. Also uses one of the existing fender mounting points (smaller bolt). Commented a short vid I took of the install process. Basically comes with an extender nut thing that replaces the factory acorn nut. Bag itself seems decent, has a removable inner liner.

Bonus: milk crate or lidded container? See last pics, i intent to put them on/off as needed, not semi-permanently mounted.

Rear cargo rack installed

Sourced from MNNTHBX, I’m enjoying buying stuff from them lately, check them out! They also have a black powder coated version. You have the option of getting a cargo net with it for an additional, but imo skip it and just get some nice rokstraps.

Takegawa Tach Installed

Finally installed my tach from Webike, and I’m very pleased. The hardest part was making everything fit in the headlight bucket, it took me thrice as long with that compared to the actual install and routing wires. First pic is showing the max recorded RPM and temp mode, I intentionally hit the rev limiter during my shakedown ride. The temp probe I’m just using as an ambient air temp meter because I don’t have the special oil drain plug that allows attaching it for oil temp.

FYI for 2025+ Monkey owners, the factory LED turn signals use a 2 pin connector (see the light blue in the 2nd pic, that’s the right front turn signal) and so you can’t just disconnect a green bullet connector to use as a split for the tach’s ground. Fortunately, I was installing a USB outlet (Amazon alphabet soup brand) at the same time that teed off the 8 pin headlight harness’ DRL pos and neg wires with bullet connectors, so I was able to use that.

Takegawa small dn tach instructions translation

Hi all! I recently got this takegawa tach from webike, and I haven’t installed it yet, but pic for attention. The installation instructions are all in Japanese, so I had to get it translated. I haven’t fully reviewed it yet, but I thought I’d share the translated PDF for others looking to make this install (link below). I’ll post the completed product once I have the tach installed.

Note that WeB!ke has a monkey specific kit for this otherwise universal tach. The monkey kit includes the bracket that connects underneath the speedo and positions the tach on the upper right side of it, plus a splitter harness to make it a no-splice install. The translations in the PDF include both the universal install instructions, followed by the monkey specific instructions.

Here’s the link to the PDF in Google Drive (idk if one can attach PDFs in Reddit)

Edit: found this youtube vid that goes through the install process a little bit on a Monke
