The point everyone is missing about the LUCE

Every car forum and Youtuber for the past week have been saying nothing but how awful the Luce is for Ferrari, and rightfully so. But there is something Ferrari did with the Luce that every single brand should copy in every car.

If you haven't yet, go watch a video on the interior of the car, AutoFocus’s is great.

Here’s the huge take away… Ferrari has solved the industry’s screen issue. In every other car they put in a screen for gauges and driver info and use it like a laptop showing videos and animations. Thats makes cars not only feel cheap and gimmicky, but also like an appliance vs a purpose built machine.

By sinking a second gauge screen inside a main driver info screen and using a real needle and bezel Ferrari has solved the issue of retaining mechanical feel while having the versatility of a screen.

To me this is an advancement that shouldn't be overlooked because of exterior design issues the car might have. The entire industry needs adopt this method of screen usage asap.

Edit: seems not only is everyone missing the point about the Luce, everyone is missing the point in this post.

its not about the looks

its not about the price

its not about Ferrari

its about the innovative layered screens sandwiching a mechanical dial in the gauge cluster and them being used only as dials and not as an animation and graphic players.

If you think, “ its been done” as other have said, you are wrong. Watch an in depth video on them.
