There’s no real answer besides made up lies.

Let me go through some of their points.

“Roger vs WB clash is weaker in GV compared to the oden flashback.” no, not really. This just means they aren’t trying as much. We see Roger do his strongest attack in the series at GV, so he clearly wasn’t lacking in power.

“He died too early before everyone peaked.” Yes and no. Everyone probably grew a little stronger, but Rocks was still ahead of everyone so it equals out.

“WB became the WSM, Roger became PK.” Because Rocks died, he was ahead of them both and that’s not up for debate. Whitebeard also relied on his DF mostly while Rocks did everything from pure feats. The way he recruited everyone was in a fight for crying out loud. And for Roger, he’s pretty much just a weaker rocks with more luck.

Not really a point but kinda is. I see people say Sengoku is stronger? 🤣🤣🤣 It is so bad that people think the entire verse grew a tier above rocks because he died. If you think Sengoku is stronger than Rocks please reread this story.

EDIT - forgot to add how much Imu glazes him. He only holds rocks at the top for a reason. He does not go around talking about Whitebeard, Roger, or Garp. He goes on about Rocks and his era, how much of a threat he was. That alone is unmatched.

Didn’t know this was a hot take till recently when I posted in this server. We should start considering that Zoro and Sanji will be getting massive power ups since we are close to the final arc.

How strong do I think Zoro is to Gaban as of now? I would say he’s above old gaban and below prime due to less mastery in ACOC. However he is still a much more durable, faster, and a lethal fighter as of now. What he’s missing is complete mastery over ACOC which he will fix at the end of elbaf.

Why will zoro surpass prime gaban in elbaf?
Because he’s the future WSS. People tend to downplay what this means but it’s very important! Zoro will be one of the strongest fighters ever, tiers above Gaban, that’s just a fact. ❤️

EOS Zoro
People think that Zoro and Sanji will magically become insane only at the very end of the story. I disagree, I believe that these 2 have and will continue to show major growth in each arc. Zoro and Sanji will surpass the wings in this arc and become stronger than either ever have been.

Side point
We know that these Roger pirates have fought the holy knights before.. base holy knights. And failed to completely stop them. This means prime Gaban and Rayleigh could not technically “defeat” any of them. Zoro is currently fighting an amped version of Sommers who seems insanely strong, overpowering zoros strongest attack like it’s nothing. This is the same Zoro who could physically compete with 2 Yonkos combined attacks btw. He will have to attain a power that neither of the OG wings had and kill an even amped version of Sommers. This was already foreshadowed with Zoro pointing out his mechanical heart. Zoro and Sanji defeating the amped holy knights is Oda saying “they are on a different level.”

Last point.
I feel like it shouldn’t be a hot take to say any of this. Gaban and Ray are strong but by no means is it to the point that they can’t be surpassed till EOS. This is reflected with Luffy who already has arguments to be above Roger and he’s not close to being the PK. The straw hats will be insanely strong before we are even on the final arc!
