Alternatives to Amalfi coast/ Lake como

Hi everyone, I’m planning a trip to Italy in July/August and was wondering if anyone has recommendations for beaches or coastal areas with a similar feel to the Amalfi Coast, or places where I can spend time swimming and enjoying the coast. I know it’s peak season, so crowds are unavoidable, but I’m looking for destinations that are a bit less busy and more manageable than Amalfi. Any recommendations or advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Is Amalfi coast/ Lake como really that crowded in August?

My family and I are planning a trip to Italy in August, and we’re considering either the Amalfi Coast or Lake Como.

However, I’ve been seeing a lot of videos online showing huge crowds during summer, especially in August.
For those who’ve been recently, is it really that overcrowded, or is it still manageable and enjoyable?

Would you recommend either place, or are there other areas in Italy that might be a better experience in August?
Would really appreciate hearing about your experiences and any advice :)
