my local hobby lobbys have been selling these umbrellas… they are so cute, but like $100 and i dont have the disposable income despite wanting it SO bad.

making cute little letter holder for my ma. had this lovely jig to help me properly solder the corners. realized this thing is going to fall apart without some reinforcement. how would i best make this work?
this might be a weird question, but i had seen something on instagram where someone had a sheet of unique expensive glass that they didnt have QUITE enough of, so they scored a cut down the inside edges and got two thinner pieces.
how feasible is this? how hard is it to do? am i crazy? i wanted to try it to maybe do some daintier pieces.
