Hi! I am a relatively new gamer and just got a steam deck. I have a Switch and have enjoyed Dave the Diver, Subnsutica, Subnautica Below Zero, Dredge, Spirit Farer, Minecraft, and Roller Coaster Tycoon. I downloaded Euro Trucker 2 on steam deck and it’s honestly just beyond my skill set and I don’t want to have to customize so many buttons. I can’t even get the truck to start after doing the training modules.

So anyway, what’s an easy “play it right out of the box” game that doesn’t involve a ton of customization, combat or weapons. I like building bases and designing things. Any recommendations would be great! Thank you!

Big fan of Piranesi, The Divine Farce, I Who Have Never Known Men, and A Short Stay in Hell — and I’m hunting for more. Specifically, stories where someone is dropped into an unfamiliar world but retains memories of a previous, ordinary life (or at least the awareness that one existed). I know that’s a narrow ask, so even if your recommendation only grazes that theme, I’d still love to hear it. Bonus points for anything in the same vein that can be finished in an afternoon.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
