Why was Dex not killing anyone in season 3 finale?
I watched that scene many times. And it was strange for me.
Dex was not killing any of those FBI agents!!!
Even Hattley survived his throw. I have been overthinking this scene for too long. Even those 2 agents he was continuously stabbing were more looking incapacitate than killed.
Was that because Matt didn't care about them? And to keep him in his no kill rule? Because he interfered in the ballroom and distracted Dex there until everyone ran out and then he left those 2 fbi agents getting stabbed, then was saved venessa!!
What did the writer really want to show?
Matt doesn't want venessa dead but he can allow Dex to stab those 2 agents...and yeah he saves one agent from getting strangled by Dex!! What was wrong in saving those 2? Even if they were not dead, how did Matt know that Dex would not kill?
Had he assumed that Dex hadn't killed guards in the way so he would not kill them here?

Yeah this is kinda weird for me!! So please can you help me understand the scene. Because it is ruining the finale for me.

Dex came to the ballroom, matt interfered, distracted dex until everyone ran out and saved an agent from getting strangled by dex. Then left 2 agents getting stabbed. Then continuously protecting venessa!!! Wasn't venessa much more evil than those agents. And dex was also not killing!!!
