Can someone confirm if it gets easier when you get older? 😭

I (F) am turning 28 in a couple months and I feel like things are worse than ever. Honestly feel more tistic in the last couple years (tugging my hair, banging my head against walls, hitting my body or head with objects, shaking my head rapidly, getting overwhelmed etc).

Meanwhile prior to that I was just kinda hating life, but rolling with the punches (had sh prev, but not like this). I’m not too familiar with it all, but I figured these behaviours would’ve been more apparent when I was a kid, than emerging when I’m an adult.

Nervous for what the next few years hold, curious if any others have been/are going through something similar and can confirm if it gets easier 😭

Therapy is expensive and isn’t an option 🙏🏼

People who have visited lots of countries, how long do you spend in each country?

I live in New Zealand so travel is always a big mish. my trips to a country/countries are always between 3-4 weeks away to make it worth the time to get there lol.

I’ve found 3 weeks to be the sweet spot for a country (excl the pacific islands, resorty islands and Singapore), but I know that if I wanna visit heaps of countries during my life, 3 weeks per country isn’t feasible 😔

Curious, for those who have visited many countries, how long are you spending in each of these countries? And if you’re doing shorter trips, is it bc they’re quite similar (like Europe or Africa)?

Like I did ‘China’ but Hong Kong for a week, then flew to Taiwan for 2 weeks, but it didn’t feel like it wasn’t enough time in each place bc they’ve got quite similar culture / food.

Anyone here who used to be scared of driving, now able to drive?

I (27F) finally got my learners late last year, but driving TERRIFIES me. Whenever I’m behind the wheel I feel anxious that I’ll accidentally press the accelerator and hit someone/something 😰

I’d been driving for a month or two down very quiet streets (had practiced in car parks/area with no cars previously and this area had no traffic lights, minimal give way/stop signs, etc) and the last time I was behind the wheel I had an incident that’s had me mad spooked 😰

It happened a couple months ago and I was behind the wheel and the person teaching me (not an instructor) said something and I misunderstood pressed on the accelerator and it was vrooming forward and I was PANICKING like why is this happening?? And was not thinking at all to put my foot on the damn brake! 😣

thankfully the person with me managed to turn the wheel so the car hit the curb and didn’t hit a fence, but it’s had me traumatised and I’m now way too scared to get behind the wheel ://

There’s always other concerns too like driving too close to other cars, a bug being in the car (I freak out about bugs and am scared I’ll cause an accident/hit someone😰), I don’t like going too fast and I just lack any confidence 😰

Everyone I talk to tells me that getting good comes with practice, but I’m so scared to try to drive confidently incase I cause an accident 😰

Has anyone been similar to me and overcome this? I feel like I’ll never be able to learn / be confident enough to safely drive 😭😭 does anyone have advice?

I 100% intend to now only learn with a proper instructor who has the brake thingie so can brake the car for me if something like this happens again, but just feel isolated in my concerns 😔

Anyone have tips for what to do in Kos if you’re not into beaches?

I (27F) wanna go to the beaches and my dad (67M) doesn’t and is convinced Kos is just beaches/wants to return to Turkey (where we’re holidaying). Just kinda concerned about what we’ll do when I wanna go to paradise beach, as there’s nothing round there/public transport is limited ://

Also if anyone else is gonna be in Kos the next few days and is down to meet, hmu plsss. keen to meet new ppl and speak with someone other than the pops 😭😭

Am from New Zealand 🇳🇿
