Sharing my grand uncles Superman coloring book I found at the bottom of a box of magazines and his old coloring pencils. Has been sitting there close to 60 years!

I love the look of these and how much the covers still pop. Amazing to think that 90 years ago my grandpa was reading these as a little boy on the farm.

I found this tucked away in my grandfather’s belongings while cleaning out his estate. The strange part: my grandfather would have only been 3 years old in 1932.

It appears to be addressed to “Jean Bilby Jr.” My grandfather went by Gene, but I can’t find anyone named Jean Bilby Jr. anywhere in our family tree.
So who was it actually meant for, and why did my grandfather keep it all these years?

I don’t see these very often so figured I’d share! Do you like them as buttons or on the cuffs?
