I’ve been contemplating for a while but buying from outside UK and nervous about the in person look and feel. Anyone any experiences?

I recently received approval for the vacant property grant but my builder discovered much more cracking on the walls after the strip out. He suspects subsidence and is recommending underpinning. I have a structural engineer coming to assess Monday.

Does anyone know if it is possible to apply for the derelict top up grant at this stage in the process? I have already signed and returned my grant approval letter to DCC.

Any insight would be helpful.
