MBA candidate (Class of 2027) with Hospitality background: Seeking advice on service lines
Hi everyone,
I am currently an MBA student graduating in August 2027. Prior to starting my MBA, I worked for three years at the front desk of 4-star properties, specifically Marriott and Hyatt.
I am very interested in pursuing a career in consulting at Deloitte. Given my experience in people-centric, high-touch hospitality roles - where I developed a calm, soft-spoken approach and a strong ability to build rapport. I am trying to identify which service lines or departments might value this skill set most.
If anyone has experience with this transition or can offer perspective on where a hospitality background fits best within the firm, I would greatly appreciate your insight ☺️
