waitlist from previous cycle

hi! i’m still on a waitlist for my top choice since the spring but i committed to another school for fall 2026 since then. i know tuition bill deadlines are coming to an end in a few weeks. so i just want to ask if i should email the school if the class if full or not, as when i emailed them a month after i was placed on the waitlist that they did not have a timeframe to give updates if any. thank you!

how to use sick days sporadically before quitting work over the summer?

Hi! I am planning to resign from my job in late July as I am returning to school full-time to get my optometry school degree this fall (got accepted to a school across my home state and deposited while waitlisted on the school that is located in my city within the next few weeks). depending on the waitlist decision, i will be going to pursue my studies across the state anyway and potientially move over there if things don't work out anyway.

as for my job, tho i won't get into specifics of my role and responsibilities, i am a per diem who is scheduled on friday's and if needed (mostly using my weeks instead on applications, entrance exam to get in, and interview for the schools, and (now) to mentally prepare myself and enjoy my free time before 4 years of commitment and working on just the fridays). the only thing is that i have 4 more sick days left and need to use them hopefully by 7/31 and specifically on the fridays bc it is the only day of the week that i am technically scheduled in for.

i was planning to space it out, esp I have an eye appt later this month on a wed and not sure how bad my eyes will be until i work the friday and i haven't gotten them dilated since the month before the world went into lockdown or should i not gaf if i do it every other week. i also can't work on Juneteenth and 7/3 (both fridays) since the workplace will be closed those days (no benefits to get holidays unfortunately). tia!
