I assume they are keeping me warm?

I interviewed with a recruiter and was moved to the next round. After meeting with the next person (which was a consult who would be my day to day go to) I received a call from the recruiter with feedback saying they were thrilled and said they could have spent hours talking and that an update would be provided mid week for next steps.

I just received the following email which feels automated and more so they are keeping me warm? Thoughts.

Thank you once again for taking the time to interview with our hiring team. We truly enjoyed learning more about you and your experience. We wanted to let you know that we’re still in the process of completing interviews for this role. We appreciate your patience as we work through the final stages of our recruitment process.

We’ll be sure to get back to you as soon as we have an update to share regarding the next steps. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

Success stories after tapering

Hi all!
I have been on Zoloft for about 4 years. I went on it because I struggled tremendously with depression due to infertility, recurrent miscarriages and continuous grief. During the time I have been going to therapy and working really hard on it. Zoloft helped me ALOT!

I am now at the stage where I am ready to start tapering off. One thing I noticed through this thread is the withdrawals and negative talk. Outside of that, I was hoping to hear some success stories from people who got off it and are doing good.

[NJ] HR isn’t so HR

I have a boss that when she’s great, she’s great but when she’s bad - SHE IS BAD. I have worked at this job for over 6 years and stayed here for numerous reasons. However, there has been a lot of turnover under her and numerous people have left because of her.

Several people have gone to HR to file complaints including myself. She has talked down to people, belittled them in front of peers, yelled, etc. she lacks self awareness and when confronted, she either ignores, says she didn’t or says “you know how I am”. Several have asked for a severance to leave or something to happen and HR refuses to do anything besides coaching. Even people outside the department have submitted complaints.

One of the funny things is she is constantly being promoted. She just received a promotion to take on a new team. They decided to do an exercise where they merge the teams and ask us questions about things that work and don’t, concerns, etc. Everyone agreed not to talk because feedback goes nowhere and it was going that way until someone opened Pandora’s box and everyone just went at it.

What started it was someone said we need to manager up. In which many didn’t like that. HR responded by saying sometimes the child has to be the parent. In which many disagreed and she kept pushing back on everyone saying we can’t just give up on people. In addition, HR openly said that we should all be happy to have a job right now when it was brought up that open roles don’t get filled and we have limited resources with increased workload. She continued to say we have to deal with it and by not filling roles you are saving another person.

The whole thing was dysfunctional and I’m just curious: 1. Is this type of exercise common practice? Through my career and education, I haven’t seen anything like this. 2. Perspective on HR in this situation? Who do you go to when HR is not helping.

Love to just know people’s thoughts.

To note: I work in an HR function but not in HR or employee relations.
