Sometimes you gotta take a (foam) bullet for fashion

Our youngest cat, Gengar, needed emergency obstruction-removal surgery in the wee-early hours on Monday. Plenty of scary moments and a full day of hospitalization later, we were able to bring him home.

His little 9.5lb self is very brave, and loves to spook Freyja by leaping delightedly at her face. She is always a good natured participant.

She's making sure his recovery camp is very well guarded! She also does not understand why he is getting delicious (bland) chicken chunks and churus when clearly she deserves them too. Payments are being negotiated for her security services 😆

Getting the most of Swamp Girl Summer while it lasts!

I believe this is Cowpig the 3rd. This gal loves her toys - particularly when she finally rips their stuffing and squeakers out.

His new game today has been jumping onto the closet door and then screaming at me because he doesn't know how to get back down.

Swamp Girl Summer continues for Freyja. She has still yet to even see a frog or fish, but this does not impact her morale whatsoever.

Featuring Fiddle, Banjo, and a far-away Freyja 🐾

She was very indignant about getting them washed off.

Still no caught frogs, but I think she loves the chase more than anything.

...she also at one point was definitely just chasing after her own flung mud clumps 😂
