Need some advice on a Roughhouse 50 big bore setup
Helped my buddy buy this thing a few weeks back and he's loving it so far. He decided to buy the NCY 72cc big bore kit and we installed it a few days ago along with roller weights and clutch springs as recommended by our local scooter shop as well as a new spark plug.
We're in Denver and the shop told us we didn't need to upgrade the main jet because the Roughhouse had a bigger jet than the buddy 50 from the factory. We've now driven it a few times with everything installed with no issues but I just took it out and am pretty sure I experienced a soft seize. Was going about 45 on a flat road and it died and the rear wheel was resistant to roll. I waited about half an hour and got it to start again and limped it back home (although it seemed to drive absolutely fine). Next step is to check to see if there's any damage internally but my question is should we be upgrading the main jet at this point? Everything I've read recommends bigger jet sizes and from what I can find the Roughhouse has an 82 main jet and at elevation we should probably be using something in the range of 85-95 with this setup.
