Hi, 34M late diagnosed with ADHD. When I first got diagnosed, I tried everything to stay productive. It was a bit weird because after collage and my first job, I managed to be kind of productive because I had the structure that was force upon me.

But once I got a remote job, everything went downstream. I didn't realized it first it was because of this (wasn't yet diagnosed) and because I work as a software engineer I also tried contracting and working for multiple clients. This meant, more Calendars, more tasks and less energy for my personal life.

After some hiccups, and a burnout, I decided to go to therapy, and discovered I have ADHD. First advice, keep a routine and maintain a schedule. Hardest thing to do: keep a routing and maintain a schedule. To be honest, I hate this catch 22 symptom.

I started using Notion Calendar, to merge my personal and work calendars, but the friction was still too big. Plus, I still needed reminders and something to keep me on track with my wanna-keep "habits". But I want it to be flexible and easy to edit.

So I did what every developer does when frustrated, build my own. After two years and 9 rewrites (because i'm not a designer) I got something that actually sticks and I use it every day. I consider it better than Siri, because mine transcribes my accent correctly, and breaks down tasks correctly.

But I'm think I'm too biased. Some of the feedback that I got was that Todoist is better because it has room for more actions in the phone's viewport. And I personally hate that. Small text and crowded lists, make me feel anxious and I've noticed that I skim over tasks and miss stuff.

Is it just me, or is it an ADHD thing? Do you guys prefer compact or expanded more?
