How to go about ending lease early?
Hey guys, looking for some help regarding the specifics/jargon for my situation.
I moved into a new place (Subdivision) in April on a 1 yr lease, and I was wondering if it was possible to get the lease ended before a year. I’ve been able to before just talk to the LL and be able discuss a reasonable time (ex. during covid i was 6 months into a 1 yr lease and got laid off, so I asked the LL if in could move out in 2 months to avoid not being able to pay rent). This time Im going through a rental agency, with no distinct person I can talk to.
My reasons for moving arent that serious as others so I wont be cheesed if its not too possible for me to move out early.
I live on the 3rd floor and my 2nd floor neighbours apartment just smells awful and it permeates up to my floor. The smell of dog feces and urine is heavy in the air. They’ve also got a full family with small kids who are awake sometimes till 4 am screaming and banging around, and I work a job where I need to be awake for 4am, so I’ve had very little sleep since moving in. I tried to ask the kids to quiet down when they were out on the balcony and got told to “shut up old head” lmao. Talked to the mother and said she cant do much to control them.
Im just kind of tired all the time now and it makes it hard to have the energy to deal with all the wasps and mice that end up in my apartment too.
Not the worst, but If possible i would like to find better :,)
(And no I didnt notice any of this when I first moved in. Especially the smell. But now I know to find out abt neighbours when deciding on a place :P.)
