Visited the newly opened Daryaganj today and here’s my take.

First thing — the waiting time was around 1 hour, which pretty much shows the hype this place currently has.

In appetizers, we tried the Tikka Trio — honestly, it was average and nothing too memorable.

But the main course was genuinely very good.

We tried their signature 1947 Butter Chicken, Kadhai Chicken and Dal Makhani.

The butter chicken was very different from the usual Baba Chicken / Moti Mahal style most of us are used to. It wasn’t sweet, overly buttery or super creamy. The gravy tasted more tomato-onion based with balanced cream, and honestly felt like an older, more original style of butter chicken.

Kadhai chicken was also properly cooked and flavourful.

Their Dal Makhani was probably the standout for me — proper authentic taste and felt genuinely slow-cooked.

Ended with Phirni for dessert, which was decent too.

Overall, appetizers were mid, but the main course definitely lived up to the hype for me. Ambience and interiors were pretty nice as well.
