vivo X300 FE Camera Review

I used the vivo X300 FE for a full day, and the camera experience felt really reliable for everyday use. It takes bright, vibrant photos that look great on social media, though at times the processing can feel a bit strong.

Portrait shots came out sharp with nice background blur, and subject separation is handled well even in slightly difficult lighting. Even moving shots were more stable than I expected.

Night photos were a pleasant surprise. The phone keeps good detail and rich colors without making scenes look too bright or artificial, giving a slightly cinematic feel in low light.

The camera app is also simple and easy to use, with helpful suggestions that make switching modes quick and effortless.

The front camera does a good job too, producing clear selfies with natural skin tones and decent detail.

Overall, the vivo X300 FE feels like a dependable camera phone for daily photography, especially for anyone who wants good-looking shots straight from the phone without much editing.

VivoX300 Ultra - Nikon P950

I’ve done my own personal comparison between the Vivo X300 Ultra + 400 mm Gen Ultra 2 lens and the Nikon P950

The test sequence was always the same:

  1. Photo at 400 mm
  2. Photo at 800 mm
  3. Photo at 1600 mm
  4. Photo at 2000 mm (the maximum focal length of the Nikon P950)

I didn’t use a tripod; I just started snapping away, just as I would in real life.

The big advantage of the Nikon is a flip-out screen, but personally I find the level of quality the Vivo delivers to be incredible. I’ve uploaded the test series, including the distances I photographed from, to Google Drive.

In total, there are always 8 screenshots: 1 at 30% resolution and 1 at 100% resolution for pixel peeping

I’ll probably part with my Nikon.

Vivo x300u post processing

Hi all. This is a question for vivo veterans and why not, mobile photography enthusiasts. Why is the phone sometimes shooting extremely good photos that even when zooming it is showing good details? Other times, I am getting this AI crap that create a cartoon-crap like photo, unusable for anything else than directly populate thrash bin? I tried using different color patterns, modes and high res, the results vary across all those but randomly. I know pro mode limit a lot of AI post processing but like I said, not all the photos are getting this effect. I am still new to this and I want to learn a bit about mobile photography. Thanks! PS: photo is shot at 35 mm, natural zeiss and zoomed a bit after to show that effect.

Vivo X300 Ultra or Oppo Find X9 Ultra

Can't decide between the two phones.

Which one is better? I watched multiple reviews but they pretty smiliar.

I love to have a phone with a good camera.

It's a plus point if it has a good speaker.

(Currently using an S25 Ultra)

Lost my S24 Ultra… now stuck between Samsung, iPhone and vivo flagships

[India]

Hello Everyone!

So yeah… I lost my S24 Ultra.

Pain.

Now I need a replacement but I genuinely do NOT want to spend Ultra level money again unless it’s absolutely worth it.

I’m an artist and I record a lot of reels and process clips for social media, so camera and video quality matter a LOT to me. I also tend to keep my phones for 3 to 4 years instead of upgrading every year.

Budget is ideally around 80k but I can stretch close to 1 lakh if needed.

My Requirements (Not in Order):

512GB storage (absolute dealbreaker)

Great video quality

Stable video recording for reels and process shots

Accurate colors for paints/art materials

Reliable stabilization

Consistent UI/UX experience for 3 to 4 years

No heavy gaming

Camera/video quality should not feel like a downgrade from S24 Ultra

Currently considering: S25/S25+ iPhone 16 series vivo X300 series Oppo Find X9 series

But I’m fully open to other suggestions too if you think there’s a better option for my use case.

The vivo X300 series honestly looks incredible right now and the camera hardware is making this decision MUCH harder than expected.

At the same time, Samsung still feels familiar and iPhone still seems unbeatable for consistent video.

So now I’m stuck between: best hardware vs best stability vs best familiarity but RIP wallet 😭

Would especially love opinions from long term vivo users or people who switched from Samsung/iPhone.

How has the experience been?

First day with X300 Ultra

Hey, so today my X300 Ultra with Photo Kit Special Edition arrived. After swaping from my S23 Ultra, camera quality improvement is unreal, best smartphone looking photos ever. Fingerprint scanner is rapid and I like display, especially on "realistic" mode. BUT after 1 day of playing with it I'm super dissapointed with OS so far. TBF first thing I do on new phone is swap Launcher to Niagara, so that might be issue but... Apps crashing and closing, multi-task gesture stopped working and instead of showing apps in BG it just closed it and moved to main menu, I had to swap gesturest -> Buttons -> Gestures to fix it. Google SSO login in any app takes eternity before finally start, who the hell thought that phone with 100W charger included won't be detected and OS won't inform You that fast charging requires special option to be enabled... But fortunately, it's all fixable via os updates, so I have high hopes 😉

Any Vivo users in the US? 😭

I really like my Vivo phone, but for some reason my email notifications are always delayed or sometimes don’t pop up at all. Especially Gmail… I only see new emails when I manually open the app.

I already turned on notifications, background activity, battery settings, etc. but it still happens.

Is this a Vivo issue in the US? Or is there any setting I’m missing? Would love to hear from other Vivo users in America 🙏

This UI update has been pissing me off

Title. It's confusing whether I have my mobile data on or off. It used to hide the 5G icon when disabled. Now it will always show even when connected to Wifi.

For context, this is what the Old UI looks like
