x200 Ultra convinces me Not to upgrade yet

My x200U didn't disappoint at all when I threw it to Europe's Automn. Thanks to the color palette feature, because I'm really bad with using Lightroom.

Took these photos with 16:9 ratio on normal photo mode with mostly Zeiss filter, and later edited with Album's inbult tool.

Influencers like her are fooling you!

They'll tell you about:

- Shortage of skilled labour

- English courses at German unis

- Govt. funding

- Govt. providing you low cost housing

- Govt. even paying for your tickets (she said this)

What they don't tell you:

- Companies laying off during Probzeit

- Hiring freeze everywhere

- No langauge, no interview

- High rental costs

- Expensive health insurance

- Difficult social life

- Rising racism against non-EU people

Im not saying that everything they claim is untrue, but the exaggeration is far from reality. Before investing your savings and time, do your research!

Nosy and interrogative MIL

Im 33M, married happily to my wife 32F. We don't live in India anymore but our parents do.

My In-laws are retired and they also don't keep themselves busy with anything. I come from a family where everyone keeps themselves busy with something to stay active, even my old parents are always up to something.

My in-laws, especially my MIL is a bit too nosy in our private lives here abroad. She need a call from my wife Every Day, and needs to know literally everything. Like what we're cooking, where are we going, what we are earning etc etc.

There is sometimes nothing new to talk over phone as she already knows too much. She makes my wife guilty of she doesn't call her every day. I feel so sick of this and I feel she's controlling my wife indirectly by making her guilty.

Once they've visited us here abroad, and that visit totally changed my outlook towards them. She was digging up too much into our lives, and I even heard her asking about my income from my wife. I overheard this and couldn't control myself to confront her directly. It was a mess and they started crying. Since then things changed, now she just waits for my wife's call and digs her up for info as I don't cooperate that much (no disrespect though).

I've confronted my wife many times about this, but I think I'm going too far between mother-daughter chit-chat. This annoys me and impacts my mental health.

We had no compatibility issues until I involved myself into these conversations that my wife and my MIL have. I was shocked to learn that they discuss everything.

All I want is to protect my privacy as an adult married couple.

Any suggestions?

How screwed am I?

I hired a so-called professional who said he had 15 years of experience with Floor Laminate. Turned out obviously fake advertisement and bad work overall. He's now gone and I'm left with these gaps between door frames and laminate.

Can something still be done?

Scammed on kleinanzeigen by ab imposter, should I call Polizei?

I recently got a new apartment that needs full renovation. For the floor Laminat laying (Boden verlegung), I found someone from Kelinanzeigen who gave me a reasonable kostenvorschlag, and we agreed on a deal. This guy explained us his plan of 3 days work, and he was so convincing and understanding that we agreed to his flooring plan. I brought the Laminat and all the material he asked for.

Since the work started, this guy became a pain in my as*. Taking days off without informing, wasting material, unprofessional cutting & finishing and keeping phone switched off became normal. His work started to seem just crappy, and he was still fine with it even after we pointed it out. So he still convinced us that we will surely like the end result and asked to believe him.

What he promised would finish in 3 days took more than a week. He said to hand him over the keys for one day and he will finish the job. I did so, and what came to me later was a shocker. The end result was just the same crappy finished floor with unfinished skirting (Sockelleisten). He basically installed another new Leisten over the old existing Leisten.

On visiting the apartment later I saw a shitty flooring job. The packaging of some of the material was missing so I doubted he didnt use it at all. I found out that he stole it, along with some of our renovating material that we kept for ourself there. One zimmer door was broken, the toilet full of his sh*t, and not just that, when I confronted him with all this, he had the balls to say that the material I brought for him was in short supply and the packaging missing as he brought a müllsack with him.

I know i'm scammed. Is it worth to report to the Polizei?

Should I ask the Landlord?Confusion in ceiling wires.

Hello all, I recently moved into an old 1970s apartment in Germany. I bought some ceiling lights, and now I see that in one room there are 3 wires (black, blue & green - IMG 1) coming out of the ceiling, and in other rooms there are only two (green and greyish - IMG 2&3).

I did some online research and found that the green wire is only for earthing/grounding. If that is so, then where are the other wires? Should I ask the landlord?

Got an x200Ultra CN over the x300Ultra, and I'm not disappointed at all

I personally like the design and camera island on the x200U better.

Hello berliners,

After 1.5 years of apartment searching, I finally got an offer from Howoge for a 2.5 room ~59sqm apartment, the rent is also fine. However, their email says that the apartment will be handed over "as you viewed it".

As far as I remember from the viewing day, the apartment seemed like an unfinished one and I'll have to spend a lot of money+time to renovate it. No kitchen, ruined flooring, no wallpaper or paint on walls.

To be honest, I have no experience in all this and I also don't wanna end up with an empty pocket.

Can some of you advise if this is a good offer and I'm just stressing too much. What should be a reasonable estimate of what it could cost me to renovate, and is it okay to ask some of these costs from Howoge?

Thank you in advance..
