Questions from a tourist

Hey guys, I’m from New Zealand and I’m visiting Atlanta solo for a night on August 1st. Baseball is completely alien to me, but it seems like great fun and a new sporting culture to experience.

Knowing nothing about baseball and having no affiliation to Atlanta, is this a good use of my only evening in the city? Moreover, any tips / things to look out for to get the most of the game? Very open to suggestions.

Thanks!

Car Parking in Garibaldi

Hi everyone, I’ve just moved to Vancouver and I’m stoked get a camping spot in Garibaldi this weekend.

Our plan is to drive up to Rubble Creek park first thing Saturday morning, however I’m unfamiliar with the parking. Assuming there’s lots of day hikers doing Panorama Ridge, how early do we need to be to ensure we get a car parking spot?

On a similar note, we’ll be hiking to and staying at Helm Creek Campground. We’re tempted with a side trip to Helm Glacier, depending on timing. Reports online have said it’s a bit of bush-bashing - has anyone done it recently? Any further thoughts on our itinerary are also appreciated as we’ve never camped in BC before :)

Working Remotely Query

Hi everyone, I've received my letter of introduction and will be arriving in Canada next month to begin my IEC Working Holiday Visa.

I've got a good job working for a software company in New Zealand which I intend to continue with, and it reduces the possibility of gaining residency long-term, that's not a concern as I plan on moving back to NZ.

Whilst my understanding is that working remotely is okay as I'll be on an open work permit, the documentation is limited and online anecdotes have few details.

My company has a global customer base, with a few Canadian clients (<5%). I have little interaction with these clients (they have a Account Manager based in the USA which they correspond with), however I occasionally help with queries via email or Teams.

Research online suggests that this is fine, but any thoughts are appreciated (as well as insights into conversations I expect to have with the officer at the border).

Thank you!
