We loved our first baby so much, we got her little brother from the same parents. They get along so well (and play so hard), I’m hoping all the legwork now will pay off with two well-adjusted dogs that each have a life long companion. Sleep, free time and quiet are overrated… right?😂

Hi! Looking for any insight/suggestions on socializing our 8 month old standard poodle. We really want a laidback, easy going adult dog, so we’re trying to get her useful “exposure” while she is young.
Successful Venues to-date
• Restaurant Patios (sits/lays calmly by our sides)
• Parks (including passing by other people, pets and bicycles)
• Neighborhood Walks
• Car Rides
• Parking lots/sidewalks
Less Successful
• Dog parks (anxiety when other dogs run up to her)
• Other houses (overall well behaved, but less responsive to commands)
With other dogs, she’s shy/curious but slowly will escalate in excitement and trying to initiate play. She can be a little rough unintentionally with smaller dogs, since she likes to play with her paws.
Any other areas/ideas you suggest?
