LG OLED C5 65”

LG OLED C5 65”

Hola

This might be a little off-topic since it’s not directly jailbreak-related, but I wanted to share it with the community in case it helps anyone else.

A lot of people have been buying a PS5 Pro recently, and after doing some research, I realized that to get the maximum potential out of my PS5 Pro and Apple TV, I really needed to upgrade my TV.

My previous TV was a Sony Bravia X850G, released in 2019. It was a good TV, but it was still a 60Hz LED panel with HDMI 2.0, no VRR, no ALLM, and it couldn’t fully take advantage of modern gaming features.

I recently upgraded to the LG OLED evo C5, which is a 2025 model, and the difference is huge:

• OLED panel with perfect blacks
• 120Hz native refresh rate
• HDMI 2.1 ports
• VRR / G-Sync / FreeSync support
• ALLM
• Very low response time
• Better fit for PS5 Pro, Apple TV, movies, and streaming

A few days ago I was seeing it for around $1,399. Now Amazon and some other stores seem to have it closer to $1,199, but yesterday I found it at Sam’s Club for $1,099.99, and the sign shows it includes a 5-year Allstate plan.

For anyone upgrading from an older 2018–2020 TV, especially if you’re using a PS5 Pro or Apple TV 4K, this seems like a pretty solid deal. Not sponsored or anything , just sharing in case anyone else is looking for an OLED upgrade.

LG C5 webOS 25 missing AirPlay/HomeKit option

Hi everyone,

I’ll also post this in the LG subreddit, but I wanted to ask here in case anyone has an LG C5 or similar LG TV connected to Apple Home.

I have an LG C5 OLED65C5AUA on webOS 25, software 33.22.65, connected to Wi-Fi, and I’m trying to add it to Apple HomeKit.

The TV’s Home Hub guide mentions AirPlay / Apple Home, but I can’t find the actual AirPlay or HomeKit settings anywhere.

Under:
Home Hub → Mobile → Connect Mobile Device
I only see LG ThinQ, screen sharing, and audio sharing. No AirPlay, Apple Home, or HomeKit QR code.

This is my first LG. Has anyone fixed this on the LG C5 or a similar webOS TV?

UPDATE — Solved

The issue was the LG Services Country setting. Even though my TV is a US model and I’m in Puerto Rico, the AirPlay/HomeKit options were completely missing because the LG services region was apparently glitched or not set correctly.

What fixed it:

Settings → All Settings → General → System → Location → LG Services Country → turn off “Set Automatically” → manually select United States → restart the TV

After the TV restarted, AirPlay/HomeKit appeared.

I honestly didn’t know HomeKit/AirPlay options on LG TVs could depend on the TV’s service location.

Here in Puerto Rico, I have HomeKit available on all my Apple devices, so I assumed it was available everywhere or at least automatically enabled on supported models.

Anyway, doing this should solve the issue for anyone with an LG C5 or similar model where AirPlay/HomeKit is missing. It was not a Wi-Fi issue and it was not under Screen Share.

How do PS5 game dumps with DLC work?

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to understand how PS5 game backups/releases with DLC usually work from a technical/preservation perspective. I’m not asking for piracy links or bypass methods.

Do these usually come from physical discs, PSN downloads, or both?

If I own a PS5 disc, can I install/download the game, updates, or DLC to an external drive using a PS5 connected to PSN?

Would that content work anywhere else, or is it tied to the console/account/license?

I’m mainly confused about the difference between disc data, PSN updates, DLC, licenses, and external drive installs.

Any explanation would be appreciated. I have a few disks and sadly more games in my PSN account.

LG BE16NU50 UHD Friendly in 2026?

Hey everyone,

I have an external LG BE16NU50 Blu-ray drive and I’m looking to start backing up my 4K UHD movie collection with MakeMKV.

From what I’ve read, some BE16NU50 drives can be flashed to work as UHD Friendly drives and support LibreDrive, but the information I find is scattered and many of the guides are several years old.

Before I do anything that could potentially brick my drive, I was hoping someone with experience could point me in the right direction.

My questions are:

Is the LG BE16NU50 still considered UHD Friendly in 2026?

Does it depend on the drive’s hardware revision or current firmware version?

How can I check whether my specific drive is compatible before attempting any firmware changes?

Which firmware should I be using today for UHD ripping and LibreDrive support?

What is the recommended flashing tool and guide in 2026?

I’m using a Mac and the drive is connected externally via USB.

Any advice, guides, forum threads, or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Model: BE16NU50
Manufactured: April 2016
ROM Ver: 1.00

PS5 Pro 12.00 - getting Pipe Masters 34-37, exploit fails every time

I’m looking for some advice from others on PS5 Pro firmware 12.00.

For the last ~24 hours I haven’t been able to jailbreak successfully. What I’ve noticed is that whenever Y2JB (both v1.5 and v1.6) reports:

the exploit eventually fails after waiting 50 minutes.

In the past, when it reported:

the exploit would usually succeed.

The strange thing is that for several days now I haven’t seen 32,33 at all. Every attempt seems to land on 34-37 and then eventually fails.

My setup:

  • Using the YouTube entry point

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any known trick to get 32,33 again, or is it just random luck? Any recommendations that might improve the success rate?

Thanks.

Update:

Now I’m using: owendswang/Y2JB-P2JB-bdj_unpatch** **Got 31, 32 at first attempt. Not sure if it’s something related to network but this one worked for now, let’s see after the 50-minute journey.

Update: It finally worked.

I’m still not sure whether Pipe Masters values higher than 31,32 are somehow related to networking, DNS settings, cached data, or if it’s just coincidence.

iOS 27 Might Have Quietly Removed the 2-Camera Cellular Limit

I don’t know if anyone has already posted about this, but I just noticed something interesting with iOS 27.

On iOS 26 and earlier, whenever I was away from home and connected over LTE/5G, Apple Home would only let me view 2 camera streams at the same time. Any additional cameras would stay paused until I closed one of the active streams.

After updating to iOS 27, I can now view all 5 of my cameras live simultaneously while on cellular data. I’ve tested it multiple times and it seems to work consistently.

Did Apple remove the remote streaming limit, or was it increased in iOS 27? I haven’t seen this mentioned anywhere, but it’s a pretty nice improvement if intentional.

NanoDNS Setup Questions + Saved Games

Hey everyone,

I’m still pretty new to the PS5 scene, so I’m trying to understand the proper way to use NanoDNS and avoid issues in the future.

My setup is a PS5 Pro on firmware 12.00 running Y2JB/P2JB.

Originally, I had my DNS set to 127.0.0.2 and would jailbreak normally. Later I wanted to try PS5 Payload Manager and connect to its online repository, so I realized I needed internet access.

I installed NanoDNS and changed the DNS to 127.0.0.1. After that, I had internet access but no PSN access, which was exactly what I wanted.
The problem started when I tried sending np-fake-signin twice. The PS5 ended up in a kernel panic, crashed, and rebooted.

After rebooting, I launched YouTube to jailbreak again and noticed the app appeared to have updated. At that point I wasn’t sure what had changed, so I ended up restoring the console and setting everything up again.
Unfortunately, I lost all of my save data in the process.

A few questions:

What is the recommended way to configure NanoDNS on a jailbroken PS5?

Is 127.0.0.1 the correct DNS for occasional internet access while still blocking PSN?

Could the YouTube app have updated because of my NanoDNS configuration?

What’s the best way to back up save data on a jailbroken PS5 in case of a crash, kernel panic, or restore?

I’m trying to learn the proper workflow so I don’t make the same mistake again since I’m sending my games via PS5 payload manager to the PS5 and this is the second time I had to restore.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Still getting 1080p HomeKit recordings on my 2K cameras even with tvOS 27 / iOS 27

I have several 2K cameras connected to Apple Home, including multiple Aqara G5 Pro cameras and an indoor Eufy 2K camera.

After updating to tvOS 27 beta and iOS 27 beta, I was expecting HomeKit Secure Video to finally start recording at higher resolutions since Apple announced support for up to 4K on compatible cameras. However, all of my recordings are still showing up as 1080p.

What makes me think this may require a camera firmware update is that in the Eufy app, the recording quality setting is completely locked when the camera is connected to HomeKit. It specifically says that HomeKit only allows up to 1080p, and that I would need to remove the camera from HomeKit to enable 2K local recording.

So now I’m wondering:

• Has anyone with Aqara G5 Pro or other 2K/4K cameras actually received higher-than-1080p HSV recordings yet?

• Is Apple’s 4K HSV support already live, or is it still rolling out?

• Does each camera manufacturer need to release a firmware update before HomeKit can use the higher resolution?

• Has Aqara or Eufy said anything about enabling 2K/4K recording through HomeKit Secure Video?

I’d be interested to hear if anyone has managed to get 2K or 4K recordings working in Apple Home yet, because right now everything on my setup is still limited to 1080p despite being on the latest software.

Edit:

Just a quick clarification.

I know this is a developer beta. I know things are unfinished, features can be missing, and there will be bugs and server-side components that aren’t active yet.

The reason I made this post is because Apple specifically mentioned support for 4K HomeKit Secure Video during the WWDC presentation, which made it sound like the capability was already available in iOS 27. Since all of my recordings are still 1080p, I was curious whether anyone knew if this would require firmware updates from manufacturers or if it was simply not enabled yet.

Thanks to everyone who took the time to provide actual explanations and clarification. I genuinely appreciate those responses.

As for the people replying with unnecessary hostility or acting like they already know everything, thanks for reminding me why I don’t post here often. This community used to be a lot friendlier and more welcoming to discussions and questions.

Keep the Jailbroken Fat or Return the Pro?

Hey all,

I'm looking for some advice from people who know the PS5 scene better than I do.

Right now I have:

- A PS5 Fat on firmware 11.60 that is already jailbroken.

- A PS5 Pro on firmware 12.00 that is also jailbroken.

The Pro is still within the return window, so one option is to return it and keep the Fat. The other option is to keep both and use one for online gaming while keeping the other on a jailbreakable firmware.

My biggest concern is PSN. If I update one of these consoles to the latest firmware and use it online, is there any risk of a ban because it was previously jailbroken?

I know nobody can say for sure what Sony tracks, but I'm wondering if there are any known logs, files, or traces that remain after restoring and updating a console.

The thing is, I barely play online games. The only upcoming game I can think of that I'd really want to play online is GTA 6. Even then, based on my experience with GTA 5, the first few months after launch were full of server issues, connection problems, and other launch-day headaches. Because of that, I'm not even sure it's worth giving up a jailbroken console just for online access.

If you were in my position, would you:

- Return the Pro and keep the Fat?

- Keep both and dedicate one to homebrew and one to PSN?

- Use the Pro as your main console and sell the Fat?

For context, I'm pretty new to the PS5 scene. The last PlayStation I ever modded was a PSP, so I'm still learning how everything works nowadays.

PS5 Pro (FW 12.00) – Load p2jb.js from USB?

Hey everyone,

I’m pretty new to the PS5 modding scene. The last PlayStation device I ever modded was a PSP many years ago, so I’m still trying to catch up with everything. I’ve been reading guides and watching YouTube tutorials, but there are so many different tools and methods available now that it’s a bit overwhelming at first.

I recently picked up a brand new PS5 Pro from Best Buy and was pleasantly surprised to find that it shipped with firmware 12.00 out of the box. I’ve successfully gotten Y2JB/P2JB running, but I have a question about the payload-loading process.

After a reboot, is there a way to load p2jb.js locally from a USB drive or internal storage instead of sending it from a PC with payload_sender.py every time I reboot or shut it down?

I know the jailbreak can take around 50 minutes to complete, and that’s completely fine with me. What I’d like is a more hands-off setup where I can:

- Turn on the PS5

- Open the YouTube app

- Have p2jb.js automatically loaded from USB or local storage

-Come back later once everything has finished

Has anyone managed to set this up using the Y2JB Autoloader, an offline cache, a service worker, or another method?

For reference, the console is a PS5 Pro CFI-7119 that came with firmware 12.00 from Best Buy.

Any advice, recommendations, or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
