Which electric kit for recording and VST triggering?
So I will never be playing shows. Just practicing/playing for enjoyment and recording. I use addictive drums 2. I've searched this forum up and down so i apologize for the redundancy in this question. I've looked at all kinds of models from alesis nitro ultimate/XL to Roland td516. Also the vad513, td316, alesis strata core, etc. just want a good drum kit for playing with addictive drums and recording. I make rock/punk type music. Is there a kit that would make sense for me given that I just want to trigger vst for the most part outside of practice? Are the digital pads of the 516 series going to make a huge difference for the purpose and genre requirements?
Screw you tauros
Tried to find for two hours. One appeared and peaced out without so much as a "how do you do?" So I went on an emulator and cheated one in. Will upload to everdrive and trade over to cartridge. If tauros wanna play hard to get, I'll just stack the deck 😤
Struggling to pick a kit
There are SO many options and i feel a bit paralyzed. My main desire is to use an edrum kit for recording (midi with addictive drums). I need something better and more expansive than my Roland td1. Is the new alesis nitro ultimate sufficient? I wanted a real hi hat stand. I also looked at the rand td316 but...I don't know when I'll have that kind of money to drop. Would love some advice here. Is the nitro ultimate good enough since I'm going to be running vst?
Pad sensitivity is backwards
I have a td1 e drum kit. I wanted to use the second cymbal pad as a crash instead of a ride. I'm noticing the rubber part of the pad doesn't seem to register any loud velocity. The plastic part of the cymbal registers loud hits though. Like it's backwards. Anybody run into this issue before? To be clear, this is specifically while using addictive drums in recording.
