I’m doing a transpacific flight in premium economy standard and have enough eup credits for all for us to business. But my worry is that at the clearance window of 3 or 4 days there’s only one or two R seats and we get split up. Is it safer to not put in the eUpgrade request until after the window closes and just wait for the gate? I figure maybe at the gate I can tell the agent I would like to decline any upgrades that would split us up? Has anyone had experience with this? I’ve only used eups when traveling alone or with my wife before.
