Very casually thinking about rebuilding my 05 4.0 engine. Aside from getting a rebuild kit are is there anything else I should look into adding
If Ive already got it pulled apart?

My Tacoma has a p0345 code, I’ve changed the cam positioning sensor before with a duralast sensor and an Amazon sensor. when I inspect the wiring of the connector I realized the wiring coating was stripped probably by rodents so I got a new pigtail and had it rewired and I imagined that that was gonna fix my problem since it was showing a high voltage code, but after fixing it, resetting the check engine light and driving it didn’t go away, could that Amazon sensor have gone bad too? Should I get another one from autozone? I’m really out of ideas here and I feel like I’m just going to end up throwing more and more parts at it, anything helps thanks in advance!!!
